Saratoga - Race #3

#1 Sky Kitten	Price player had a trip in her return then drew poorly in two subsequent starts, but she's finally well-drawn here, meets a modest crew, and will be a big number; bombs away.
#6 Stormy Derby Day	The obvious one to beat will be bet hard on the drop and with Jose Ortiz ere, but her margin for error is a slim one and the regression last time is a real worry too; trying to beat.
#9 Positive Slew	Deep closer will be at the mercy of the pace but her last was a fast 2nd on figures, so if the pace heats up early she'll be passing several late; looms to the one to fear in the lane.
Race Summary	The price will be right and then some on the 1, and with only the 6 to be scared of, you're getting plenty of risk-reward to string along, so give her a look in all the slots, and in the early Pk5/Pk4 as well, since a win would really blow up both sequences, and it's not as far fetched as the toteboard might indicate.

Saratoga - Race #4

#2 Hometown	Stretch out sprinter closed mildly to be 5th on debut going 6Fs at CD, now gets an added 3Fs, drew perfectly, and as a son of Constitution, this should be his trip; upset special.
#1a Ashiham	Pletcher charge actually cuts back a half-furlong for a barn that is firing at the meet, but this one is stuck in neutral on figures, with no upside after four starts either; second-best.
#4 Lucky Asset	Improving sort is another who will try two turns for it, and being by Honor Code, he's bred for the trip, though his deep closing style won't help him over this track; using underneath.
Race Summary	You should get fair value on the 2, and he has every right to move forward in a big way here, against a group that looks to be a bit stuck, in terms of development, so give him a look in all the slots, and especially the early Pk5/Pk4 as well, since he could fall through the wagering cracks, which means a win would add plenty of value to both sequences.

Saratoga - Race #6

#2 Lone Rock	Intriguing sort not only goes back to Mott, who had some success with him, but he cuts back to one-turn as well, which is worked best for this barn, so in a race where the favorites offer some mixed signals, this one could surprise at a big price; upset special.
#6 Thebigfundamental	Tricky read for Pletcher hasn't been out since 3/19, so he could need this, and he drops stiffly in class too, so obviously he's tough to trust, but this is a hot barn, and one that is 30% off this extended break, and if he's in one piece he'll wallop these; very scary.
#5 American Power	Heavy hitter has two big numbers showing for a Rice barn that has been calling all the right shots for a barn that's off to a good start here, though his lack of speed in a race without a ton of pace on paper won't help matters in the lane; runs out of room late.
Race Summary	That 12-1 M: is mighty inviting on the 2, and sure, he could just be off-form, but those one-turn races for Mott stick out, and make him a player here, so give him a look in all the slots, and especially to kick off the late Pk5 as well, as he has the look of a wiseguy here, and if he can bring his A-game, he's got every right to play with this group, and blow the sequence up while doing so too.

Mountaineer - Race #1

#5 Cabbage	Price player has a chance in a race where most of the forward players lack serious finishing kicks, and this one can come rolling late from off the pace.
#4 J Z's Diva	Has a right to do better this time around with the comeback race under her belt, but she'll probably have some company in the early going here.
#2 Lady Kim	Another who might get a decent go of things from off the splits, and she ran a good one with starter company last out.
Race Summary	Cabbage is worth a look with what figures to be a decent race shape waiting for her. Her finishing ability works in her favor in what might be a slow race late.

Mountaineer - Race #2

#4 Five Green Stars	The dirt sprint comeback was his first run since September 2018, so there are some obvious questions about what's left in the tank for this 10yo, but the move back to the grass gives him a chance to show what he's got on his favorite footing.
#7 Starling's Law	Think he is still capable or something better than he showed in a couple of dull recent runs, but I wouldn't want anything like the 4/1 price today.
#5 Uncle Dave	Has some ability to finish into the splits, and something like his two-back run would keep him in the mix with these.
Race Summary	Five Green Stars gets back to the turf where he has done his best work, and the even sprint comeback on the main track may have given him something to build on.

Mountaineer - Race #3

#4 Dragunov	Think this short-priced chalk is the right single early in the card. He has always been solid on the turf and doesn't meet a very tough group this time around.
#3 Ripinandatearin	Finisher has done some good work over the local course in the past couple years, and perhaps he can provide something better in this third start off the layoff.
#8 The Catmancan	Reliable type tends to fire in almost every start, but he also typically settles for underneath pieces after being in the hunt early.
Race Summary	Dragunov should be tough with this bunch with a good trip looming from close range as he moves into barn that has been going really well of late.

Harrah's Philadelphia - Race #1

#4 BUGGER BRUISER	Tough trip last week against similar, should be in winning hunt.
#3 SMART TALKER	Idle since March, gets Gingras, fits despite 2-44 record.
#5 NEEDLESS TO SAY	Won off layoff, overmatched in last two, switches pilots again.
Race Summary	Bugger Bruiser is better than his last race indicates. He trailed for a half mile, lacked room in the third quarter, rallied wide around dead cover on the turn and finished willingly. Play 4-3 and 4-5 exactas.

Hoosier Park - Race #1

#6 FATHER FRED	Has best numbers, holds tactical advantage, but skipped a week.
#2 BLUE’S JET	No match for top one but could be forwardly placed a long way at a better price.
#9 BLUE GRASS CAT	Took some money in debut, didn’t threaten, moves inside out with Tetrick.
Race Summary	Father Fred bid first-over into a solid pace, led at the stretch call and finished second to the 5-to-2 pocket sitter. He should get the jump on his main rivals in this spot, so play 6-2 and 6-9 exactas.

Northfield Park - Race #2

#2 FRIENDLY CONFINES	Slowed by pace and stalled cover at Hoosier, value play.
#7 CASH IN A FLASH	Easy wire-to-wire win against similar two starts back.
#3 D J MIRACLE	Mare failed to hit the board in last four starts at 3-1 odds or less.
Race Summary	Hoosier Park invader Friendly Confines was shuffled in the second quarter, rallied behind stalled cover as the pace slowed in the third quarter and finished evenly. He’s worth a price shot with inner post and solid driver of trotters.

#7 Barry Lee	Is usually tough when he gets on the front end and has a good chance for it today; tired in his last one but should resist more in his second local start.
#1 Touching Rainbows	Takes a questionable and rather significant class drop after running vs. outstanding company.
#4 Statesboro	Ran an even third in a good race last time and has several races on his form that give him a good chance here.
Race Summary	Barry Lee is very rapid and can get to the lead vs. these; can dig in for the run to the wire.

Indiana Grand - Race #3

#6 Little Code	Was a clear winner last time out and has been effective at this level; has a good late move and can benefit from a fast pace today.
#2 Violation	Was claimed two back for 2.5 times more than she's running for today; takes a significant drop and can improve.
#1 Tiz Taken Back	Was left far back running shorter last time and can move up going two turns; can be close to the lead throughout.
Race Summary	Little Code was stakes placed last year and has been a solid claimer much of the time; was a solid winner at Ellis and fits well here.
