Tuesday MLB Free play. My selection is on the 'under' between Minnesota and Cleveland at 7:10 pm et on Tuesday.
I'm expecting another low-scoring affair between the Twins and Indians on Tuesday night at Progressive Field. Veteran Rich Hill will take the ball for the Twins. His numbers are downright ugly but he's made just two starts so far this season - one good and one bad. I do expect to see some positive progress from Hill in his third outing of the campaign, noting that he'll be up against an Indians club that entered last night's action ranked T26th in runs per game and 29th in team batting average. What more can be said about Indians ace Shane Bieber's red hot start to the season? He's 5-0 with a 1.11 ERA and 0.76 WHIP, not to mention a 65:6 strikeout-to-walk ratio. The Twins offense has fared better than the Indians but they'll be in tough against Bieber on Tuesday. Take the under (8*).

I’m back on the Rangers again today after cashing them as +128 underdogs over the A’s yesterday. They are even bigger dogs today and really shouldn’t be when you consider they arguably have the advantage on the mound.
Kyle Gibson has posted a 4.73 ERA in five starts this season, including a 3.86 ERA in two home starts. Gibson is 3-2 with a 3.92 ERA in seven career starts against Oakland. He gave up 3 earned runs in 6 innings against the A’s on August 5th.
Sean Manaea is 1-2 with a 6.40 ERA and 1.461 WHIP in six starts this season, including 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA and 1.667 WHIP in three road starts. Manaea gave up 4 earned runs in 3 1/3 innings in his lone start against Texas in 2020.
The Rangers are 8-6 at home this season, while the A’s are 7-6 on the road. Texas is a very profitable 18-15 (+13.7 units) as a home underdog of +125 or higher over the last two seasons. Bet the Rangers Tuesday.

Giolito should not have any trouble shutting down a Pittsburgh side that ranks 26th in the major leagues with only 4.26 runs scored per game.

I'm going for a big payout with the Rockies. You can play Colorado at basically even money on the money line. I just feel that if the handicap is right here, the Rockies will win this game by at least 2 runs, probably more.
For starters, the Diamondbacks can't score right now. Arizona has scored 2 or fewer runs in 6 straight games. Colorado starter, German Marquez has a not so impressive 4.38 ERA and 1.270 WHIP in 6 starts, while the Rockies bullpen has a 5.11 ERA and 1.429 WHIP on the season.
Not great, but that's 100% the result of having to pitch a lot at Coors Field. Marquez has a 1.93 ERA and 0.911 WHIP in 3 road starts. Colorado's bullpen has a sensational 2.14 ERA and 1.119 WHIP away from home.
As for the Rockies offense, I like them to put up a number here on Arizona lefty Alex Young, who has a 4.32 ERA in two starts. You has given up 3 HR's in just 8 1/3 innings of work. Colorado is averaging 5.6 runs/game when they face a left-handed starter. Give me the Rockies -1.5 (+160)!
