7-Unit Play #704 Take Houston -5 over Oklahoma City (6:30 p.m. EST, Saturday Aug 29)
The extra days off for the boycott really helped the Rockets. OKC had them on the ropes with two straight wins, but the time off gave Houston a chance to reset and stifled the momentum for the Thunder. And now the Rockets get Russell Westbrook back for this Saturday game and they have the best chance to take control of this series. Westbrook has been lighting it up in practice and he should be a game changer for the rest of this series. OKC has been a nice story this year and they have come together to have a very nice season above expectations. But the Rockets are the much better team and we expect them to play a well-rounded game tonight in what should be a comfortable win.

5-Unit Play. Take #719 Orlando (+14) over Milwaukee (4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29)
I know this one seems a little random. I don't think Orlando has a chance to win this game and it will likely be another blowout. Games 2-4 got pretty ugly and the Bucks covered the spread in all of them. But as bad as it got the Magic still ended up hanging around the number, losing by 15, 14 and 16. And they didn't cover any of those mainly just due to some garbage time follies in the last 60 seconds of those three games. I think that it will break Orlando's way here. I think they are going to put up a fight with their season on the line. And even if the Bucks get up big they are going to rest their best players in the last few minutes of any blowout and that should let the Magic sneak inside this number.
4-Unit Play. Take #722 Houston (-5) over Oklahoma City (6:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29)
2-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 227.5 Oklahoma City at Houston (6:30 p.m., Saturday, August 29)
After three days with no games the playoffs will start back up tonight and with it brings one of the NBA's stars. Russell Westbrook will see his first action in the bubble, and he will have more energy than ten 4th graders after an ice cream party, so the pace of this series is about to pick up. The two teams have split the first four games and this is shaping up to be one of the best first round matchups the NBA has so look for this one to be another well played game by both squads. Westy will be out to prove something (not sure what) so take the over with little worry. Houston has lost two in a row and now it is their turn to make some adjustments. Houston has been a really good bounce back team and I think they are going to be playing with more of an edge here. I love Oklahoma City's chemistry. But I don't see them rolling up on the Rockets three straight times.
4-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 223.5 Portland at L.A. Lakers (9 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29)
The Blazers are running on fumes and while they were a nice story and had some amazing moments in the bubble, they are on the way out. Dame Lillard is sitting this one out and with heavy legs and little chance to keep this series alive this could be an ugly game. LA laid an egg in game one and made some of the Laker faithful worried about their chemistry, but they have played their game and leaned on Lebron and AD to get them to the brink of the West Semifinals. This should be a blowout win for the Lakers so lay the number and look for another high-scoring effort from both teams.
Carpe diem. Good luck.

Alec Mills is 3-2 with a 4.55 ERA this season and he is coming off a quality start safter a couple rough outings. Tejay Antone is starting for the Reds in what looks to be a bullpen game for the nightcap of the doubleheader, he has allowed two runs in 12 innings this season. The Reds have just the 23rd ranked bullpen in the league and Mills is 2-0 with a 2.66 ERA in his career against the Reds, take the value in the Cubs.

Anibal Sanchez seemed to finally figure it out in his last outing, going seven innings and only allowing one run. Chris Mazza is getting his second start of the season, and he gave up four runs in three innings in his first start. He shouldn’t get too deep in this game regardless of his performance, and the Red Sox will have to bring in their 28th ranked bullpen. Take the value in the Nats.

5-Unit Play: Take Ankalaev -125 by KO/TKO/DQ over Cutelaba (8 p.m., Saturday, August 29)
The first fight between these two saw a controversial stoppage less than a minute into the fight. Ankalaev should take care of business with no controversy this time. Cutelaba is over-aggressive and he plays right into Ankalaev's game plan. Both own the power to end a fight but the skill level of the favorite is quite apparent. Cutelaba will want to take this to the ground but Ankalaev owns elite level takedown defense and will likely keep this fight on its feet. And while the stoppage was controversial, the fact is, Ankalaev had Cutelaba staggered and on the ropes. I'll back Ankalaev by KO/TKO/DQ on Saturday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.
