2-Unit Play. Take #952 Toronto (-1.5, -105) over Baltimore (2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 31)
I have no problem betting against Keegan Akin here. His ERA was nearly 5.00 last year in Triple-A and has an 8.10 ERA in two brief appearances this season. Toronto has won three straight in this series and the Orioles had dumped five straight (and 8 of 10). Chase Anderson has been steady and the Jays are building some serious momentum at the moment. Toronto is 35-16 in their last 51 games against the Orioles and 78-36 in their last 114 meetings hosting the O's.
3-Unit Play. Take #961 Atlanta (-1.5, -120) over Boston (7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 31)
Max Fried has been dominating this year and has been one of the best pitchers in baseball. The Braves have won all seven of his starts and Fried is 5-0 with a 0.95 WHIP and a 1.35 ERA. Nothing about Colton Brewer intimidates me and no bet against the Red Sox is a bad bet, despite their recent 7-3 burst. The Braves are 13-3 as an interleague favorite and 13-6 in their last 19 interleague games.

2-Unit Play. Take #970 Colorado (-110) over San Diego (9:40 p.m., Monday, Aug. 31)
I think that German Marquez has been a hard luck guy. His BABIP is in the Top 10 in the league and he could be due for a positive regression. If you watch him pitch his stuff still looks good. Garrett Richards has a 5.17 ERA and already got hammered in Coors Field once this year. The Rockies got bombed 13-2 yesterday after sweeping Saturday's doubleheader. I like them to bounce back here and lock up a series win.
Carpe diem. Good luck.
