This mare has a very good win percentage in dirt route races. Will almost certainly come out strong - I have liked the way this mare has moved sharply to the lead recently. TAPNFIRE - Ought to be carefully examined in this competition if only for the very good Equibase Speed Figure put up in the last affair. WOOD NOT MIND - Has to be given consideration versus this group displaying decent figs as of late and an average speed fig of 50 under similar conditions. The almost immediate return to the races points to a sound effort today.

TRADING BAY - A horse coming back this rapidly after a good race is a good omen. Contreras is back up for another race today after riding on board this horse for the first time on August 8th and ought to know the ropes to this one a little better. Don't look any further. This horse has my dough. Way too much speed. TIZLEGAL - I usually like playing sprinters who are 3-4 races into a return. Looking at today's class rating, this thoroughbred is encountering an easier bunch than in the last race at Woodbine. The 74 latest race speed figure looks sound in the TrackMaster PPs. Casse moves this filly to the main track today. Look for a marked improvement from the most recent grass race. SWEET EDITION - Lasix can take some getting used to, especially for a filly. They usually hit stride the second time using it, like we have with this horse.

Free College Football Prediction From Doc's Sports: Take Texas State over SMU (4:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 5) We will take the points in this game, as Texas schools get up when they play one another and I do not see a big time blowout by the Mustangs in a true road game. SMU won this game by 30 points in 2019, but they were not as good as their record would indicate, getting blown out in 2 of their 3 losses. Texas State played a little better down the stretch, keeping games competitive, and I feel they can keep this game around 10-13 points. Saturday CFB Free play. My selection is on the 'under' between SMU and Texas State at 4:30 pm et on Saturday.
When it comes to the projected improvement in the Texas State offense, I'll believe it when I see it. The Bobcats were one of the worst teams in the nation last season and in this unique 2020 campaign, I'm expecting more of the same. Yes, Texas State wants to play fast on offense and this isn't a terrible matchup on paper but I'm not convinced the Bobcats will be able to turn enough drives into points on this day. SMU's aggressive defense is more than capable of camping out in Texas State's backfield all afternoon long. This is undoubtedly a 'name your score' type of game for the Mustangs. Their offense is perennially among the most explosive in the nation and with QB Shane Buechele back in the fold, that should hold true here in 2020. That being said, I'm not convinced we'll see the Mustangs firing on all cylinders following a truncated camp. There's enough reason to believe SMU won't need to keep its foot on the gas for four quarters in this one, helping the final score stay 'under' the lofty total. Take the under (8*).
