DYNA'S HOLIDAY - Martin drops her down to this class. You don't need too much more handicapping knowledge to think this animal will be tough to beat at this level. I like to see consistency in a racehorse. Look at this filly's PPs. Almost always in the money. After the race aboard this animal on Aug 26th, the jock is going to be in touch with the filly much better. The 63 last race speed rating looks good on paper. PERSEVERING HONOR - Ran in the last race against better company at Thistledown. The move down the ladder based on class rating points should suit her well. This mount ran outside the top 3 at Thistledown in the last race on the mud. She should improve in this field on a fast track.

CRISTALINDA - You figure that this horse is going to be first just because she's always close. Just doesn't finish first frequently. GRAZIA WHO - This entrant ran a substandard speed figure last out. She shouldn't show signs of improvement and will probably get beat in today's event running that rating. NAN'S ROSE - Quite unimpressive speed rating last time out at Thistledown at 1 mile. Don't feel this questionable contender will improve too much in today's race.

I think PLUM LUCKY is a formidable choice. Have to consider solely on class, with some of the best class figures of this group. With a sound 79 average Equibase Speed Fig at the distance, seems well suited for today's contest. I like the jockey on this gelding - decent chance to win the contest. FRANKALEE FUN - Tourangeau has him trained solidly to break sharply out of the gate. Had one of the best speed figures of this field in his last contest. WITT'SDOLLARNIGHT - Very strong rider and trainer combo winning 28 percent of their races working together. Solid average speed figures in dirt sprint races make this racer a contender.

I like horses that return to a similar class level after dropping at least 5 class pts like this one did in the last race. I believe he'll be competitive at this class level. KALEIDOSCOPE KID - The 74 last race speed figure looks strong in the TrackMaster PPs. DREAMMEISTER - Atop this horse on August 25th and Ouzts is yet again in the irons in today's contest. I really like that last race on August 25th at Belterra Park where he ended up third. I like horses that return to a similar class level after dropping at least five class-rating points like this one did last time out. I believe he'll be competitive at this level.

Vulnerable Contenders: #10 GOTSOMEMOJO (ML=6/1),

GOTSOMEMOJO - Would have to advance off that ninth place finish last time to make an impact here. Finished ninth in his most recent race with a somewhat easily forgotten speed fig. When I look at today's class rating, it would take an improved performance to triumph after that in this field.
