The Lakers have turned this series around with their defense. Los Angeles has done a fantastic job of putting pressure on the Rockets shooters. The Lakers are getting in the passing lanes and they have dominated the fourth quarter the past couple of games. The Rockets have also went cold at critical times and must do a better job getting to the free throw line. The Under is 5-2 in seven meetings this year.

Los Angeles has taken control of this series with back-to-back wins and can really put the pressure on the Rockets with another big victory. The Lakers have too much depth for Houston to handle and their bench is simply outplaying the Rockets. The Houston starters are logging a ton of minutes while LeBron James and Anthony Davis are resting a bit while the bench takes over. The Rockets have been depending on the threes too much and that approach is hurting them in transition.

This has been a low-scoring defensive series, and expect more of the same the rest of the way. The Stars were one of the best defensive teams in the NHL all season but have managed just one goal in two games. Dallas has gone 117-plus minutes without a goal. Knights goalie Robin Lehner is playing at a very high level and he is carrying his team with consecutive shutouts and four this postseason. This is a huge game for both teams. Goals will be at a premium in this one.

Knights goalie Robin Lehner has posted back-to-back shutouts and has four this postseason. The Stars will play much better than they did in Game 2, but this is the most important game of the series and Lehner will lead his team to victory. Dallas isn’t getting the required level of play in net. Las Vegas has won seven of the last nine meetings.

The Hurricanes should again have a stellar defense, led by end and Temple transfer Quincy Roche, a potential Top 10 pick in the 2021 NFL draft. While UM also has a terrific transfer QB in D'Eriq King, the offense has been a problem for a few years and there's a new system to learn under first-year coordinator Rhett Lashlee. UAB scored 45 points last week, but that was against Central Arkansas. The Blazers likely score at least 30 fewer Thursday.

Yes, the Chiefs scored 51 points themselves the last time they played the Texans, but most NFL wonks agree that the defenses should be ahead of the offenses early this season with no offseason activities or preseason games. Both clubs also are working in new skill position players: Brandin Cooks (if he plays), Randall Cobb and David Johnson for Houston, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire for KC. The Under is 4-1 in the Texans' past five road games and 4-1 in the Chiefs' past five prime-time games.
