With no spring practice this year because of the coronavirus pandemic, I'm expecting the top teams to treat their season opener as a de facto spring game, getting valuable snaps for younger, inexperienced players--something that will be more difficult as the the conference schedule toughens. I think Clemson will be one of those teams. My model says Wake Forest covers more than 60 percent of the time, so you're getting good value with the Deacs at this number.

If not for a late comeback, the Rockets would have lost Game 4 by far more than the 10-point difference in the final score. Look for the Lakers to cover here as they advance to the Western Conference Finals.

Austin from scoring in the final 42 minutes of an opening-week win while Texas was idle, and the Longhorns are breaking in coordinators on offense and defense. With only Big 12 opponents ahead, they likely will treat this as a glorified scrimmage once victory is obvious. Only 12,000 fans will be admitted, thus mitigating the home-field advantage.
