Under the master Bill Belichick, the Patriots are 9-1 ATS as underdogs by at least eight points. Granted, this challenge might be unprecedented, with QB Cam Newton out and practice disrupted by a COVID-19 scare. Oh, the opponent is the league’s supreme team. But New England's defense is formidable, and Newton’s replacement (34-year-old Brian Hoyer) is a veteran of 69 NFL games. This might scream mismatch to many, but in Belichick we trust.

      OVER 56.5
      ATLANTA @ GREEN BAY | 10/05 | 9:00 PM EDT
      2:09 PM
The Overs continue to cash in big and have posted an overall record of 36-24-1. The Packers lead the NFL in scoring, yards per play and are second in total yards per game. Aaron Rodgers has passed for almost 900 yards and nine TDs without his number one WR. Green Bay has rushed for over 170 yards per game. The Falcons defense allows over 460 yards per game. Atlanta has averaged 30 points scored but is next to last in scoring defense. The Packers are 31st in yards per play allowed. The Over has cashed in five straight meetings. The Over is 7-2 in the Falcons’ last nine games in Week 4 and 9-2 in the Packers’ last 11 in Week 4.

The Chiefs destroyed the Ravens on Monday Night Football and are on a short week against a very good Patriots team. Its never easy betting against Patrick Mahomes, who continues to get better every game, however this is a solid Patriots team with Cam Newton at QB. Newton has four rushing TDs and should be able to move this offense against a banged-up KC defense. This game will be decided by a FG. Take the points.

Gerrit Cole is 7-3 with a 2.84 ERA this season and he is coming off a win in his first postseason start against the Indians. He has a career 2.60 ERA in the playoffs, but he has allowed six runs in 11.2 IP against the Rays this season. Blake Snell is 4-2 with a 3.24 ERA this season but he gave up three runs in eight innings against the Yankees this season. The Yankees have just the 20th highest OPS in the league against lefties, but they were also missing most of their right-handed bats most of the season.

Though Davante Adams is a major weapon that helps kick the Packers offense into another gear, they have enough weapons to make up for his absence. I have Green Bay as a 9-point favorite entering Monday night's game, so with the spread down a point, I'm getting an additional field goal. The Falcons are no healthier than the Packers, and Green Bay is firing on all cylinders. There's no way Atlanta's secondary stops Aaron Rodgers for four quarters.

If you were planning to back the Pack and waited until this morning, you have been rewarded with the spread dropping to -6 from -7. Part of that was Davante Adams ruling himself out, meaning Aaron Rodgers will be missing his top two wideouts in Adams and Allen Lazard. Meanwhile, Matt Ryan will have his top two banged-up wideouts in Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley. So while the Falcons might be better at that position, Green Bay is better just about everywhere else -- especially on defense. The Pack are 5-1 ATS in their past six at home.
