#3 Unparalled	Speedster just ran off the screen against lesser but used to be a regular in these ranks, and may be coming back around; come and catch the pick.
#2 Dublinornothin	The chalk has won two straight but has been all-out to do so, now rises in class, will be overbet, and has no edge on paper; trying to beat on top.
#6 Ma Meatloaf	Logical contender was just a distant 3rd sprinting at the level, though in a fast race that was in the slop, but her route form is a question; not sold on.
Race Summary	That 7-2 ML on the pick seems like enough risk-reward to come along, class rise and all, as she could be the controlling speed once again, is proven at the level, and her last might signal that she's rounding back into form, so play her to win and place, and especially in the early Pk4 as well, since a win over the 2 and 6 would knock out a lot of tickets.

Finger Lakes - Race #4

#6 Sigesmund	Midwest invader has faced eons better in his three starts, and while he's hasn't done much running, the drop in class, and move to Chris Englehart's barn should be enough; look out.
#7 Indian's Getupngo	Speedster has been doing the turf thing off the long break but has run well on the main before too, and if he clears early there's a chance he gets brave late; pace player, maybe more.
#4 Wesworld	Laughable even-money favorite was 3rd, beaten a neck, with a painfully slow figure last time, and the MSW drop didn't work either, so why he's this low on the ML is a guess; no thanks.
Race Summary	There's a chance the 6 is favored, especially with this sharp new barn and the stiff drop in class, but even 5-2 seems fair on a runner who should be firing by far a lifetime best, so play him aggressively to win and place, while getting some built-in value by singling him to end the early Pk4, and kick off the Pk5 as well, since a win over the 4 will knock out a lot of tickets, as budget players might take that ML at face value and single him.

Finger Lakes - Race #7

#2 My Girl Annie	Stretch runner was a good closing 2nd at the level last time, catches a ton of outside speed here, and will offer a hint of value as well; mows them all down.
#1 Dosage and Mimosas	Stalker will get the jump on the pick but that didn't work last time, though she was a solid 3rd, and the hot pace will help her here too; looms a must-use.
#4 Comfortable Cat	The chalk will like the drop out of the open SAL ranks, though she fizzled last time, and with all the speed here, she may get fried; tread very lightly here.
Race Summary	Pace makes the race and there's plenty of it here, and that will really help the chances of the 2, while hurting those of the 4, so play the pick aggressively to win and place, and especially in the Pk5, and late Pk4 as well, as she could fall through the wagering cracks just a bit, which means a win would add some value to both sequences.

Mountaineer - Race #1

#1 Queen Knowledge	Would be attractive at something like the 6/1 ML offering with some inside speed from the rail draw. She may not take a ton of heat here.
#6 Nancy Knowsthemath	Big drop for this MSW nibbler, but she's taking this plunge off one of the worst efforts of her career, and she's almost certainly going to be quite a bit shorter than the 5/2 ML price.
#5 One Last Cat	Price player may be able to land an underneath share in this first try with the local company, and she occasionally shows enough pace to stay in touch early.
Race Summary	Queen Knowledge gets a pretty strong lean here for a race of this level, as she will have a go for it from the inside, and she is still far less exposed than most here with just four career starts.

Mountaineer - Race #5

#2 Lucky Tuesday	Showed some pace before fading late in the debut run, but she should be in the mix again early with these, and she may stay on better with that experience under her belt.
#3 Can't Kats a Moose	Fort Erie invader flashed a bit of speed at first asking and can probably move forward off that debut run. Tough to separate the top pair.
#5 Morning Light	Debuts for a barn that is having a good run of things lately, but this doesn't feel like the softest spot for this level locally.
Race Summary	Lucky Tuesday and Can't Kats a Moose appear capable in this spot, and both have a bit of forward ability to keep them in the mix early. Slight edge to 'Tuesday at a slightly better price?

Mountaineer - Race #8

#1 Darren's Fortune	Not going to get clever here, but this guy looks like the easiest of singles in this spot with a class edge on these and significantly better form.
#5 Congrats This	Looks like the main danger if the top choice doesn't bring his best stuff, and he may appreciate the longer trip today.
#3 Valid Cause	Zero confidence in him showing up here, but he might be able to get a forward trip that keeps him ahead of some of the other no-hopers in here.
Race Summary	Darren's Fortune will be no kind of price, but he looks like the kind of chalk that will hold up in multi-race sequences if you find a price elsewhere.

#5 JACK ROGER	Wide trip took its toll in latest, takes class drop, lack of a pace the concern.
#1 DRAGON RULER	Rallied for third against better, showed speed when he last won with Wrenn.
#5 BEACHSHOOTINGSTAR	Pair of thirds at this level in September, started from second tier in latest.
Race Summary	Jack Roger rallied 3- and 4-wide from mid-backstretch until he flattened out in mid-stretch. He gets class relief and should be put into play earlier with aggressive driver in bike. Play a 5-1-ALL trifecta.

Northfield Park - Race #5

#2 TOOTIE	In excellent form, moves outside in, knows how to win.
#3 PETE’S SAKE	Romped from on and off the pace in last two starts out of town.
#5 ETERNAL FAITH	Second to Tootie two back, third from second tier in follow-up.
Race Summary	Tootie is versatile, first or second in 9 of 13 starts this year, and starting with a favorable post switch. She gets the call in solid field for series opener. Play 2-3 and 2-5 exactas.

Race Summary	Lynah Rink usually runs into contention over this course and has the closing move to put away this group.

Wednesday Champions League Free play. My selection is on Real Madrid -1.75 goals over Shakhtar Donetsk at 12:55 pm et on Wednesday.

This should be a relatively stress-free victory for Real Madrid with 'should' being the operative word. I'm comfortable laying the nearly two goals in this spot given that Real should certainly feel some sense of urgency even if this is only the Group stage opener, noting that they find themselves in a difficult draw with Inter Milan and Monchengladbach also residing in Group 2. A win is obviously imperative here and I'm anticipating a win by margin. Madrid will certainly have its guard up following a 1-0 loss to Cadiz CF this past Saturday. Prior to that it had reeled off three straight wins by a combined 6-2 margin in La Liga action. Let's call it a 3-0 or 4-1 victory for the favored squad on Wednesday. Take Real Madrid -1.75 goals (8*).

Liverpool has failed to win each of their last three games. They lost to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, were blown out 2-7 at Aston Villa before the international break and played to a 2-2 draw at Everton this past weekend. To make matters were, they were dealt a huge blow losing their star defender Virgil Van Dijk to a torn ACL. He was the Premier League player of the year from two seasons ago. But all of that is just doing us a favor and keeping this line relatively cheap in my opinion.

Ajax is a great team from the Eredivisie but on the major European circuit, just don't have the players to be able to contend like they did two years ago when they made a run to the semifinals of this competition. They have been absolutely picked apart since then. Among the list you have Hakim Ziyech to Chelsea, Matthijs de Ligt to Juventus, Frenkie de Jong to Barcelona, and most recently, Donny van de Beek to Manchester United. Among other transfers, they have banked a cool $300M as they have one of the best academies in all of Europe.

That being said, the team is once again made up of a bunch of youngsters without much experience on the biggest stage and Liverpool should handle them without much issue. Liverpool will be -1.5 favorites at home so I like the value we are getting here due to their recent slide.

Willy Adames and the Rays hope to bounce back from a World Series Game 1 loss when they face the Dodgers in Game 2 Wednesday night. The SuperBook at Westgate opened Los Angeles -145.

MLB betting odds are on the board and getting attention for Wednesday night’s Game 2 of the World Series at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The Los Angeles Dodgers got out of the gate quickly and aim to take control against the Tampa Bay Rays.

The SuperBook at Westgate provided insights on MLB opening lines and early movement, sharp money and public betting for Wednesday’s Game 2 and updated World Series odds.

MLB line movement

The Dodgers spread eight runs across the fourth, fifth and sixth innings Tuesday night, ripping the Rays 8-3 to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven World Series. For Game 2, The SuperBook at Westgate was among the first out of the gate with odds late Tuesday, opening at Dodgers -145/Rays +135, and there was no early line movement.

The SuperBook opened the total at 8, with the Over at -120. That also had no early movement for Wednesday’s 8:08 p.m. ET first pitch.

MLB public betting

The consensus is often indicative of public opinion, and late Tuesday night, there was interest in both teams for Game 2. Still, the lean was toward Los Angeles to take a 2-0 series lead, with the Dodgers attracting 54 percent of early picks.

Odds to win the World Series

Prior to Game 1, The SuperBook had the Dodgers -210 and the Rays +180 to win the World Series. With Los Angeles now up 1-0, the series price jumped to Dodgers -410/Rays +340. John Murray, executive director of The SuperBook, said pre-series that his shop has a significant rooting interest.

“The Rays are awesome for us,” Murray said. “We’re a small loser to the Dodgers.”
