Miami won yesterday but not getting much respect for the victory. Tua not getting any love today by not being able to cross the 100yrd passing mark in his debut. Rams were #7 in NFL on D coming into the game, so throwing Tua to the wolves and coming out on top looks OK by me. Miami didn't impress, but they did what they had to do. What about the Miami defense? They held the Rams in check, and many teams have found that to be a difficult task. In fact, the Model actually has Miami as a better defense than that #7 Rams D mentioned above. Miami gets a little relief by facing an AZ defense that is simply just ok, and the AZ offense is rated just behind that Rams team Miami just beat. Weather doesn't look like an issue, AZ is off the bye, but Miami will be rested. Both teams are identically rated injury wise, but 2 Cardinals tested positive for Covid, lets see what happens there. The math model is produced on Tuesdays, but its clear that tomorrow will just verify what is already clear, Miami is getting more points than they should.

Sunday update

This was looking like great value when this line was dipping below 4 this week, but now its 6. These teams have been very good to us this year, as we have been on the right side of these teams this year. Now they face each other. Nothing has changed with this game that warrants this move, IMO. Metrics solidly on the Miami side of this still, even after that Tuesday update. In fact, the data strengthened a bit. Miami has been playing very well defensively, and that's where this game needs to be won. A shootout wont favor the Fins. Hate having games with 2 Play On teams, but looking forward to this game.
