The Michigan State Spartans are loaded this season and primed to beat Duke outright as an underdog today. The Duke Blue Devils are clearly a young team as they have five new starters this year. That youth showed as they committed 22 turnovers in a sloppy 81-71 victory over Coppin State Saturday as 39-point favorites. They failed to cover the spread by 29 points, which is concerning heading into this game with a much more veteran Spartans team that already has two wins under its belt over Eastern Michigan and Notre Dame. They had 26 assists on 30 baskets against Notre Dame and are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games after two straight games with 19 or more assists. The Spartans are 9-0 ATS in their last nine games after leading their last two games by 10 or more points at halftime. Give me Michigan State.

          PICK - Kansas -4.5
          RATING: 30*
          ROT#: 628
I will gladly lay the 4.5 with the Jayhawks in Tuesday's big showdown in the Champions Classic. Game will be played on a neutral court at Banker Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Both teams come into this contest at 1-1, but Kansas' defeat came at the hands of No. 1 Gonzaga, while Kentucky just lost to Richmond on their home floor by 12-points.
Wildcats scored just 64 points and went the entire game without a made 3-pointer (0-10). Note that while KU lost by 12 to Gonzaga, that game was tied a few minutes into the 2nd half.
While the Jayhawks have some talented freshmen playing big roles, they do bring back some experience in senior Marcus Garrett (22 pts vs Gonzaga) and juniors Ochai Agbaji and David McCormack. They also got a talented sophomore in Christian Braun.
Kentucky on the other hand has one senior in Olivier Sarr surrounded by a bunch of freshmen. Sarr was the only non-freshmen to log more than 10 minutes in the Wildcats loss to Richmond.
It's nothing knew at Kentucky under John Calipari, but I just think this is a team that will struggle early before becoming a force when it really matters in February and March. Give me the Jayhawks -4.5!

              636 UNLV & Alabama
We dropped our play yesterday on Alabama as the Tide just couldn't get into a rhythm against the stout defense of Stanford. That won't be the case here as the Rebels haven't defended anyone after its first two games. And unlike Stanford, UNLV will want to run with the Tide, which leads to increased possessions and extends the better team's chances to score.

Kentucky vs Kansas Free Pick December 1, 2020
**8-2 (80%) Free Picks in November**
The #7 Kansas Jayhawks are 1-1 on the season after first taking a 102-90 loss to top-ranked Gonzaga in their season opener before kicking St. Joe's to the curb with a 94-72 rout last time out.
The #20 Kentucky Wildcats are also 1-1 on the season after trashing Morehead State in their season opener followed by a disappointing 76-64 loss as a 6.5-point favorite over Richmond on Sunday.
I think Kansas minus the points is the right play here. There is certainly no shame in losing to #1 Gonzaga who is just on a different level, and the Jayhawks kept it close until the Zags pulled away halfway through the second half.
The favorite is 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings.
