    NFL | Bills vs Patriots
    Play on: OVER 46 -109

The set-up: The Pats have lost three of their last five games and they've now been officially eliminated from playoff contention. The Bills have won the division and they're now trying to cement a better playoff spot. The Bills will be motivated here to destroy their most hated rival on its own field and complete the season sweep of the Patriots. Cam Newton will be looking to avenge the earlier loss and try to pad his resume for a job next season. Situationally in my opinion, this one definitely sets up as a "shootout."
The pick: The Bills average 29.1 PPG, but they also concede 24.3, so Newton will have some opportunities to put some points on the baord today. Buffalo though has averaged a whopping 33.7 PPG over its last four, which could spell trouble for this "on again, off again" Patriots secondary. I look for each team to come out firing in the first half.
This is a 1* FREE PLAY on the "over" in the FIRST HALF.

FRANK’S CUTTING ROOM FLOOR FOR MONDAY, 12/28:

My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play I cut in the NBA on Monday was on the Denver Nuggets minus the points versus the Houston Rockets. Denver (0-2) has lost their opening two games this season after their 121-108 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers as a 4-point underdog on Friday. The Nuggets have bounced-back to cover the point spread in 4 straight games after a double-digit loss. Denver is also 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games at home when favored. Houston (0-1) lost their opening game on Saturday in their 128-126 loss at Portland as a 7.5-point underdog. The Rockets stay on the road where they have covered the point spread in 6 of their last 8 games. They have also failed to cover the point spread in 4 of their last 5 games as an underdog. Lay the points with Denver. Best of luck — Frank.

            NBA | Rockets vs Nuggets
Play on: Nuggets -6½ -105 at BetCris

My free play is on the Den Nuggets at 9:05 ET.
The Houston Rockets are battling the coronavirus crisis, as they visit Denver with four players in quarantine after a tumultuous opening week. Add to that trade rumors surrounding James Harden plus his violation of league COVID-19 rules and regulations have made it a tough start for new head coach Stephen Silas. Meanwhile, the 0-2 Denver Nuggets are battling a crisis of confidence, as expectations are high after their run to the Western Conference finals in the the 2019-20 season,
Houston had its opener postponed before nearly beating the Portland Trail Blazers on the road in their first game Saturday night, as Harden scored 44 points and handed out 17 assists in the overtime loss. Houston got a big lift Saturday from 6-10 PF Christian Wood, who finished with 31 points and 13 rebounds in 44 minutes, and rookie Jae'Sean Tate (Ohio St), who scored 13 points off the bench. However, key rotation players. John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Eric Gordon and Mason Jones are being quarantined until Wednesday because the four were considered close contacts under the NBA's COVID-19 protocols.
The Nuggets haven't looked good in their two home losses to open the season. They rallied against Sacramento on Wednesday but mistakes in the final seconds of overtime cost them the game. Then, a poor first half against the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday ended in another loss. "This is a new season, a new team and new challenges. The bottom line is, I guess my job as a coach is to find a group that is going to compete and give ourselves a chance," head coach Michael Malone said. "We are 0-2, so hopefully we will find a way against Houston to come out from the get-go and sustain it. That was my big message to our group. You can't win in this league playing three quarters."
I agree with Malone's assessment. Center Nikola Jokic (26.5-12.0-12.0) had a triple-double in the loss to the Kings and was a rebound shy of another on Christmas night vs the Clippers. Anyone surprised? Porter (17.0 & 4.0) is now starting at SF and veteran Millsap (12.0 & 4.) at PF. PG Murray (16.0 & 4.5) and SG Harris (6.0) are the starting guards plus swingman Barton (15.5-3.5-3.5) is coming off the bench after missing all of the games in the Orlando 'bubble.' The way I see it, that's a pretty impressive core group. Lay the points against the 'troubled' Rockets.
            Good luck...Larry

Rockets vs Nuggets Free Pick December 28, 2020
The Houston Rockets opened the season with a 128-126 OT loss at Portland, but I think we'll see way fewer points here in their second game of the campaign.
The Rockets have four players in quarantine, John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Eric Gordon, and Mason Jones, which no doubt will hurt their production.
The Denver Nuggets have started the season 0-2 SU and ATS while giving up 122.5 ppg. Coach Michael Malone must get the defense right, and this looks like a good spot against a depleted Rockets team.
Additionally, bookmakers know they can inflate totals for games involving the Rockets as square bettors love to bet those games go over the total. However, note that last season, Houston's over/under record was 32-49-3, 61.5% to the under.

                NBA | Blazers vs Lakers
Play on: Blazers +4 -105 at pinnacle

                Portland +4
The Trail Blazers are worthy of a small move. Los Angeles blew out Minnesota last night, but we saw Lebron James tweak his ankle in the 2nd quarter. Regardless if he plays or not, this Lakers team will have some fatigue going up against a fast paced team like Portland. Look for this one to be back and forth, with Portland having a chance to steal it outright.
                Good Luck, Razor Ray.
