The Comp play for Tuesday is in The Cincy bearcats at 4:00 eastern. Cincy should bounce back off the road loss to Georgia here today and they have home loss revenge on Central Florida from the last meeting. Cincy has covered 10 of 12 on Tuesdays and the road team has covered 9 of 13 in the series.Central Florida pulled a massive upset with a 12 point win on the road at Florida St as a 14 point dog, the Knights have failed to cover 8 of 10 off a spread win and this is flat spot game here.   This one is pretty simple for me, the Lakers are the defending champions and are coming back with as strong, if not a stronger roster, but they’re going to be solely focused on being prepared and healthy for the playoffs, having had the shortest offseason of all NBA teams and coming off of one of the shortest NBA off-seasons in NBA history.
  I see Lebron/AD playing fewer minutes each game and maybe even resting on back to backs in some cases, while I’m a fan of Kuzma/Schroeder/Harrell, they’re a much worse team when Lebron/AD are not on the court and I feel like the condensed schedule and them being the favorites in the NBA along with the returning champs, they will have no shame if it costs them some regular-season games if it means being healthy and peaking come playoff time.
  The Lakers will be all about the playoffs - they'll have a solid season but will fall under their season win total.

  New Orleans Pelicans have one of the brightest young cores in basketball with Zion, Ingram & Lonzo. Although they may have lost Jrue Holiday, I feel like they’ve had 3 of the biggest under-the-radar additions of the year,
  Say what you want about Eric Bledsoe come playoff time but he’s one heck of a player and amazing defensively which will be helpful for a team that is so fast-paced and strong offensively, the second addition was Steven Adams who I view as a huge defensive and rebounding upgrade over last years center in favors, and the biggest addition was Steve Van Gundy, who’s one of the best coaches in basketball, he is a great defensive-minded coach who has insane knowledge and experience. He’s gone to the playoffs 8/11 years he’s coached and has been an overachiever in almost every single season he’s coached, and now you add in the Zion factor, having watched New Orleans in the preseason and watching Zion and his minutes it looks as there is no leash going into the year and he looks fully prepared which is a great sign for the Pelicans.

  Denver Nuggets have one of the best 1-2 punches in the NBA with Jokic and Murray and have now won 46+ games for the past 3 seasons, they’ve announced themselves as a serious threat in the West and look like they are growing and getting better each year. Yes, they’ve lost Grant/Plumlee but they’re adding Barton and Harris back who each missed some time last year and are expecting Porter Jr to take that next step as one of the top prospects in basketball. That put together with Mike Malone being one of the best coaches in the NBA, I look for this Denver team to continue their rise and success this year and rack up wins.
  Denver will be on a mission this year and I expect them to dominate the Western Conference and go over 43.5 wins.
