Analysis: Despite losing the program's all-time leading scorer in Markus Howard, Marquette enters the 2020-21 campaign as one of the most underrated teams in the Big East Conference. Head coach Steve Wojciechowski brought in the top recruiting class in the conference (rated 21st in the nation by 247Sports and ESPN.com) and two freshmen, in particular, Dawson Garcia and Justin Lewis, have made immediate contributions. Garcia, a McDonald's All-American from Minnesota, is averaging 12.4 points per game and leads the team in rebounds with 7.3 per game. Lewis is averaging 8.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game and has been invaluable off the bench. Marquette's roster does not lack experience as redshirt senior Koby McEwen, senior Theo John and redshirt junior Greg Elliott are finally healthy and prepared to make a difference on the floor.
