4 Unit Play. Take #664 Louisville -5 over Virginia Tech (6:30p.m., Wednesday, January 6 ACCN) Whenever you see an unranked team favored over a ranked team it is usually a strong angle that hits more often than not. The Cardinals have gotten healthy despite some issues in December and they are always a tough team to beat at home. Virginia Tech is 7-17 ATS in their last 24 games. Louisville is 6-2 ATS (1 push) in their last 9 home games.

3-Unit Play. Take #696 Baylor (-11.5) over Oklahoma (9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 6)

Baylor is undefeated on the season and I expect them to get another blowout here. They are off to a solid 7-2 ATS start and they are one of the top defensive teams in the country. I think they will be able to shut down the Sooners here. Oklahoma is just 3-4 ATS in their last seven games and most of their wins have come against weak teams. OU is just 1-5 ATS in its last six games after a win. Baylor is 5-1 ATS at home and 16-6 ATS against teams with a winning record. Lay the points.

7-Unit Play. Take #673 VCU (-6) over George Mason (7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 6)

I think that this one will be a blowout. VCU has won six straight games and they are on an excellent 7-1 ATS run. They are 8-2 ATS on the season and this team has been undervalued. They blew out St. Joseph's 80-64 in their last game and should dominate again here. George Mason has lost two of its last three games and they are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games. This team has struggled all season long and has been underachieving. George Mason pulled an upset in their last meeting with VCU back in February as a 14-poitn favorite. Before that VCU had won three straight blowouts over the Patriots and they are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games in this series. VCU is much better on offense and on defense and I think that they will take care of business here against an overmatched George Mason team that won't have a home court advantage.

4-Unit Play: Take 664 Louisville -5 over Va Tech (6:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 6)

Va Tech is finally playing its first true road game of the season and they're facing the Cardinals at the wrong time in my opinion. Louisville is 3-0 since Carlik Jones returned to the floor and in fact, their only loss of the season came when Jones was sidelined. The Cardinals' floor-general not only leads the team in scoring at over 16 ppg but he leads the team in assists at 5.1 per game, while turning it over just over 2 times per contest. Jones is also one of four Cardinals averaging over 6 rpg. Louisville's tough at both ends of the floor but especially on defense where they rank 21st in adjusted efficiency and 33rd in the nation defending the 2-point shot. Va Tech is no pushover but they're in a tough spot tonight and we'll go against them. I'm laying the points with Louisville on Wednesday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

3 Unit Play. Take #653 Tulsa -1.5 over South Florida (4:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Jan. 6)

Tulsa's five-game winning streak includes a victory over then No. 5-ranked Houston and its first road win over Cincinnati since 1968! The Golden Hurricane offense runs hot and cold, but during this streak, the defense has not allowed one opponent to shoot over 36%. That's where the consistency comes into play against a team like South Florida who only makes 43.6%. For reasons I can't explain, the Bulls are 0-6 ATS at home versus 3-point shooting teams making only 31% or less of their attempts. Take Tulsa.

6 Unit Play. Take #684 Wofford -1 over UNC-Greensboro (7:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Jan. 6)

Wofford appears undervalued in this spot against Greensboro. Neither team is as strong as they've been the last few seasons and the Spartans have issues making baskets, shooting only 39.2% and are just 26.2% from deep. Add in they have faced an ample amount of soft competition and that's not a good sign. Wofford on the other hand connects on 49.8% of shots, which gives them an edge. Both teams are similar on defense, but Wofford is 13-4 SU and 12-4-1 ATS at home versus Greensboro and wins by at least 7.

3 Unit Play. Take #688 Xavier -6.5 over St. John's (8:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Jan. 6)

Xavier's first eight games showcased plenty of offense which keyed an 8-0 start, but the last two games have seen the Musketeers encounter significant struggles scoring and now comes a matchup against a team expected to deploy a full-court press on defense. St. John's like to press and while they force 18 turnovers a game, they also give up easy baskets and that's why they have dropped three of four and are allowing foes to convert 48.9% from the field. Xavier only averages 11 miscues a game, so as long as they keep it to 14 or less, they should take advantage of the Red Storm's defense. The Johnnies are 6-19 ATS after failing to cover two of their last three against the spread.

4-Unit Play: Take 517 Celtics +2.5 over Heat (7:35 p.m., Wednesday, January 6)

The Celtics might be hamstrung with a couple of injuries right now but they're still dangerous with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown getting the most out of their games. Boston will have a shot at playoff revenge in this one and we suspect they'll get it. Miami has really been up and down from one night to the next. They're struggling to put points on the board and from the deep perimeter. Boston is having no such issues on the offensive end. And while Miami struggles to defend the trey, Boston is one of the top shooting teams in the NBA, including ranking 3rd from behind the arc and 5th in overall FG percentage. The Celtics are on a 21-6 ATS run when getting points and we'll back them here. I'm taking the points with Boston on Wednesday. Thanks & GL! Scott Spreitzer.

3-Unit Play: Take 521 Jazz -6 over Knicks (7:35 p.m., Wednesday, January 6)

We played against the Jazz last night, knowing that KD was out for the Nets but realizing Utah was overvalued on the adjusted line. That's not the case here and we expect Utah to bounce back with a win and cover. New York just played four in a row on the road and won the last two outright as underdogs. We note that certain NBA underdogs off at least two straight outright wins as a road underdog have covered just 14 of the last 52 if playing against a team with a winning record and this game fits the parameters. I expect Utah to bounce back off the embarrassing loss and due to the blowout, they didn't exactly exert themselves last night. I'm laying the points with the Jazz on Wednesday. Thanks & GL! 5-Unit Play. Take #532 Golden State (+2) over Los Angeles Clippers (10 p.m., Wednesday Jan. 5th)

The Golden State Warriors are starting to roll, and Steph Curry is starting to get hot. After getting smacked by Portland the Warriors bounced back and beat the Blazers by 15 and then a pesky Sacramento team by 31. The Clippers played last night and typically Leonard doesn't play in a back-to-back set. Even if he does play we don't see the Clips having enough firepower to slow down a Warriors team that has scored 137 points in back-to-back games. Paul George sat out last nights game for the Clips so he may be available tonight. Again, even if he does play we still love the value on the Warriors. Los Angeles is just 1-4 ATS in their last five games versus a team with a winning record so take the Warriors in this one.

4-Unit Play. #515. Take Over 214.5 Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Orlando Magic (Wednesday @ 7:05pm est)

Yesterday about 70% of the clients got a Win or a Push as it came to the NBA Selection. But we had written a line right after the original line that if we needed to for the small minority that got 226.5, we will grade it on that. The game ended on 226 and about 30% did not get a Win. The other 70% got a Win or a Push. We have decided to grade it as a Loss. It stinks for our numbers, but it is great for client experience an that is what matters. Of course, we would like to win this season, and we posted +9200 last year, and folks have been with us for 10+ Years (some 14 years). Client experience matters more than anything else, it's ok, we will grade it as a loss, no worries. We are excited to have you join us for the entire season in the NBA, CBB, NHL (starts soon, we were on a 6-0 NHL Run to close last year) and of course Football. Per this selection, Orlando and Cleveland just played each other and the game went well under but we think this game will be of higher pace. For starters, Cleveland has a lot of key players out but they get back 2 players today in Garland and Okoro and you have a Magic team that is starting to find its groove right now. We do expect Cleveland to be a good active dog here and push the pace hard, we expect them to score with relative ease as they have a great chance at winning outright and with Orlando getting back Fournier back for this game after 3 straight missing games beacuse of back spasms, we like this game to go Over here.
