Tuesday NBA Free play. My selection is on Brooklyn plus the points over Utah at 7:35 pm et on Tuesday.
I think we're seeing a bit of an overreaction from the betting marketplace here with the news that Nets superstar Kevin Durant will miss a week of action due to Covid protocols. The Nets are coming off consecutive losses, including a stunning home defeat against the Wizards last time out so they'll obviously be up for this showdown with the surging Jazz. Utah has won its last two games including a 21-point rout of the Spurs on Sunday. It's going to be tough for it to duplicate that performance here as it shot 55% from the field, made 21 three-pointers and hauled in 51 rebounds in the victory over the Spurs. Look for Kyrie Irving to take the Nets on his back in Durant's absence and at the very least take the Jazz down to the wire on Tuesday night. Take Brooklyn (8*).

Fading the Tar Heels would have made you quite a bit of money, especially of late. North Carolina is just 1-6-1 ATS over their last 8 games. Three of those failed covers coming in outright losses as a favorite. I think we could see that number climb to 4 with a loss today at Miami. Adding to this, Tar Heels are a mere 9-20 ATS last two seasons when laying points.
The Hurricanes are just 1-4 SU over their last 5 games, but have finally started to get some guys back from injury. In their last two games they have covered as a 9-pint dog at Virginia Tech (lost 78-80) and as a 4.5-point home dog to a very good Clemson team (65-66). Really should have beat the Tigers.
Miami has been very profitable in this spot, as they are 13-4 ATS last 17 at home when coming off a conference loss. Hurricanes have also gone 9-1 ATS last 10 at home vs teams like UNC who don't force a lot of turnovers (14 or fewer/game). Bet Miami +4!

My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. One of the last plays on my cut list for the Tuesday card is with Under the Total in the game between North Carolina and Miami (FL). North Carolina (6-4) ended a two-game losing streak on Saturday with their 66-65 win against Notre Dame as a 9.5-point favorite. The Tar Heels have then played 5 of their last 6 games Over the Total after a straight-up win. North Carolina has also played 17 of their last 22 road games Under the Total as a favorite. Miami (FL) (4-4) has lost four of their last five games with their 66-65 loss to Clemson on Saturday as a 4.5-point underdog. The Hurricanes have played 8 of their last 13 games Under the Total after a loss at home. Miami has also played 7 of their last 10 games Under the Total when playing at home. Take the Under. Iowa St is worth a look here tonight. This is the ultimate sandwich spot for Texas here. They are coming off a huge road win at Kansas and now have a huge game on deck with West Virginia. They clearly won't be looking much into this game. Iowa St has been a double digit dog to Baylor and West Virginia and they covered both of those games. The spot is great to back the Cyclones tonight!
