That said, the Terriers have owned this series as of late. This is one of the best shooting teams in the nation, ranking 42nd from deep and 17th shooting 2 pointers. Wofford has lost to three Top 110 teams, and have done so with a 333rd ranked free throw shooting team. How does a team rank so highly from 2 and 3 point range, but can’t hit a free throw? As for this game, we had the Wizards earlier in the season when these teams met, and we cashed that ticket as Washington lost by six. They were up most of that game and the game was much closer than the final indicated. We saw the Wizards as a team to watch heading into the season. It hasn’t turned out that way yet, but we think at some point they will be a great ATS play. But tonight we think they match up well with Philly from what we saw on the court in that first game, and we expect another close game here tonight. The Wizards are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings.

It’s not the same team you’ve watched in the past as coach Thibodeau has made an immediate impact on this young roster. A year ago, the Knicks were 23rd in defensive efficiency ratings allowing 1.130-points per possession and 112.3PPG. This season New York is competing on the defensive end of the court and giving up just 1.064PPP and 105.1PPG. New York has won 4 of their last five games overall and are coming off a 4-game road trip. The Knicks already have a few impressive wins on their resume including a 20-point blowout of the Bucks at home. Utah is coming off a beatdown in Brooklyn last night and looked lethargic on both ends of the court. This will be the Jazz third game in four days and the second of a back-to-back. Utah does have a winning straight up record when playing without rest the past two years, but it is marginable at 13-11 SU with a +/- differential of +0.7PPG. Some bettors might be backing the Jazz here off a loss but again there is nothing there to impress us enough to not back the Knicks here. Since 2018 Utah is 37-31 SU off a loss, +3.1PPG. The Knicks have a losing spread record at home the past two full seasons but their average loss margin of minus -6.4PPG is enough to get a cover here.

Losing 130-96 is bad no matter what, but when you consider the Nets were playing without Kevin Durant, that's just hideous. Whatever offensive "gains" Utah makes tonight (compared to last night) will be offset by improvement on the defensive end. The Knicks have been held to 107 pts or less in five of their seven games and below 100 three times. My free play is on Xavier at 8:00 ET. Xavier opened with EIGHT wins, then lost a tight one 66-61 at now-No. 7 Creighton (Musketeers covered). However, Xavier returned home and got blown out 85-68 by Seton Hall. The Musketeers look to rebound with a home win over St John's The Red Storm enter 6-4 overall but just 1-3 in the Big East. St. John's is playing its first game since halting a three-game losing streak with a 94-83 win over Georgetown back on Dec 20. The Red Storm had their last scheduled game against DePaul postponed on Saturday due to a COVID-19 issue, marking the SEVENTH game St. John's had canceled or postponed so far. Guard Greg Williams (12.9) led the way in the win over the Hoyas with 26 points but the 6-8 Julian Champagnie is easily the team's best player, leading the team in scoring and rebounding (20.3 & 7.5). Freshman PG Alexander (10.1-3.4-4.2) and Cole (11.7) start in the backcourt, while the 6-8 Toro (2.1 & 2.7) is little more than a nominal starter. The 6-10 Moore comes off ten bench to average 10.4 & 5.5. Xavier has three double digit scorers in the 6-9 Fremantle (16.7 & 7.7), PG Scruggs (14.8 & 6.8 APG)and guard Johnson (12.0 & 4.2). The 6-8 Carter (7.5 & 7.4) and freshman guard Jones (3.8-3.8-3.4), while Tandy comes off the bench to chip in 9.3 PPG. St John's hasn't played in over two weeks, while Xavier's could surely use a bounce-back performance after its 'ugly' loss to Seton Hall. Shouldn't St John's play the perfect foil? I think Virginia Tech will struggle to get easy buckets against this Louisville team that has the 32nd scoring defense in the nation and 33rd defensive field goal percentage.
Louisville will also most likely have an advantage at the charity stripe as VT has made only 69.7% of its free throws while Louisville is shooting 74.2% from the free-throw line.

This line makes no sense. The Pacers come into this game with a 5-2 record and fresh off a thrilling 118-116 win at the Pelicans on Monday. Houston is just 2-3 to start out the season and just lost by 13 (100-113) as a 4-point home favorite against the Mavs on Monday.
The fact that Indiana is a mere 2-point home favorite will have just about everyone running to place a bet on the Pacers here. Not me. When a line stinks this much in the NBA, my first thought is to take the other side. It's not a lock by any means, but if you fade what looks like the obvious lines in the NBA, you are going to profit long-term.
With that said, there are some positive factors for Houston in this matchup. Indiana is playing right now without one of their better players in T.J. Warren. Pacers aren't exactly deep right now and that could be a problem here after Monday's game against the Pelicans went to overtime.
Another thing is in the Rockets loss to the Mavs, they were done in by awful shooting. Houston shot just 39% from the field and 27.5% from behind the 3-point line. The Pacers held the Pelicans to 43.6% shooting on Monday, but had allowed 3 of their previous 4 opponents to shoot 50% or better. They are also struggling to defend the 3-pointer, as opposing teams are hitting 42% from deep against Indiana this year. If the Rockets get going from 3, you are in for a long night.
There's also some long-term systems that favor Houston in this matchup. First, we see that Home teams who come in shooting 47.5% or better from the field are just 8-28 (22%) ATS dating back to 1996. Second, road teams off an upset loss by 10 or more as a favorite, who have won just 25% to 40% of their games are 33-11 (75%) ATS over the last 5 seasons. Give me the Rockets +2!
