                      Dave's Thursday Free Play:
                      1* on Rutgers -2.5
The Key: The Rutgers Scarlet Knights opened 6-0 with wins over Syracuse, Illinois and Maryland. The schedule has gotten even tougher since and they have gone 1-5 in their last 6 games overall with their lone win against Purdue. They lost to Ohio State (twice), Iowa, Michigan State and Wisconsin. They battled some injuries during that stretch which didn't help and are now fully healthy. Now they are very hungry for a victory off 4 straight losses, and they finally face a team they will handle in the Penn State Nittany Lions. Penn State is one of the worst teams in the Big Ten. The Nittany Lions are 0-5 in conference play this season and losing by 9.0 PPG. They just lost 65-79 at Illinois on Tuesday and will now be playing their 3rd game in 5 days. The Scarlet Knights have been off since Friday and have 5 days in between games to get game plan for Penn State. Rutgers is 15-5 ATS in its last 20 games when playing just its 2nd game in 8 days. The Nittany Lions are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games. Penn State could be without Myles Dread, who left the Illinois game early with a shoulder injury. Take Rutgers.

Play on: Senators +111 at linepros

Thursday NHL Free play. My selection is on Ottawa over Winnipeg at 7:05 pm et on Thursday.
We missed the mark with the Senators in this same matchup earlier this week as they blew a pair of two-goal leads in an eventual 4-3 overtime loss. I look for them to bounce back here as they wrap up a four-game homestand to open the season. Keep in mind, these two teams will play two more games against one another in Winnipeg beginning on Saturday. The Jets turned in another disjointed effort in Tuesday's overtime victory, outshot by a wide 41-28 margin in that contest. I'm still somewhat high on the young Sens in the early going this season and confident in their ability to bounce back in a winnable home game here on Thursday night. The fact we're being offered a plus-money return is a bonus. Take Ottawa (8*).

Lakers vs Bucks Free Pick January 21, 2021
The Lakers have the best defensive efficiency rating in the league and they rank near the middle of the pack for pace at 102.7 possessions per game. The Bucks had played four straight unders prior to facing a Brooklyn team that seemingly has decided that playing defense is optional. Under is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings.

Murray State (-6) is worth a look here as a small home favorite against Jacksonville State in Thursday's Ohio Valley action on the college hardwood. The Racers snapped a 4-game skid in a big way with a 79-57 road win over Tennessee Martin. Look for them to build on that strong showing here at home against a struggling Gamecocks team that has lost 3 of their last 4. Jacksonville State's last 5 wins have either come against a Non DI team or a DI team that is ranked outside the Top 300. This team is simply getting way too much respect here against a Murray State team that is ranked in the Top 150. Play the Racers -6!
