NEVER FORGET HER - You always have to be on the lookout for money making jockey/handler tandems; we have one right here. SOLE FACTOR - I like this mare a lot here. She shows a lot of consistency, finishing in the money frequently. This mare is most likely the strongest stretch runner in the group. Faulkner brings her back again. I recommend you stick with this hot mare. SPEAK LIGHTLY - This jockey/trainer duo has been producing a very favorable ROI, right at +28. This filly is in top condition right now. Finished third last race out and comes back rapidly.

LADY LAURA - Last ran on December 16th at Mahoning Valley Race Cour, finishing third. Unlikely to get better off of that performance in today's event. Unlikely for this thoroughbred to do much running with no recent good showings in a sprint clash. Hard to bet this one after not being on the lead at 1 mile and now being spotted in a race of 6 furlongs. This entrant ran a most unsatisfactory speed rating last time around the track. She shouldn't run much better and will probably suffer defeat in today's race running that number. DREAM FEVER - Didn't finish in the money on November 30th at Mahoning Valley Race Cour. Followed it up with another less than stellar try. This mare hasn't had any in the money results in sprint races in the last couple of months. Run-of-the-mill speed figure last time out at Mahoning Valley Race Cour at 6 furlongs. Don't believe this vulnerable equine will improve too much today.

LA LENA - Jock hops back on board after getting to know the horse by riding last time around the track. That's always a green light. This jock/trainer duo has been producing a very favorable ROI, right at +104. Taking a big drop in Equibase class figure points from her December 23rd race at Parx Racing. Based on that knowledge, I will give this horse the edge. Nunn is giving this one Lasix for the first time. A solid move, in my opinion.

Vulnerable Contenders: #4 STONEHARBOR BLONDE (ML=2/1), #7 CLOUT CHASER (ML=5/1), #1 CHEN'S CLEANSHADOW (ML=6/1),

STONEHARBOR BLONDE - Disappointing speed figure in the last race at Penn National at 6 furlongs. Don't feel this pony will improve too much in today's race. CLOUT CHASER - In any race of 5 1/2 furlongs, I like to support a contender that has been on the board in short distance contests lately. Mediocre speed figure last time around the track at Parx Racing at 6 furlongs. Don't think this runner will improve too much in today's race. CHEN'S CLEANSHADOW - Difficult to back any pony in a sprint event if she hasn't finished in the money in a sprint in the last couple of months. Never really did much at all last time around the track on January 25th. Hard to bet on in today's event. Garnered a run-of-the-mill fig last time around the track in a $25,000 Maiden Claiming race on January 25th. Unlikely to see an improved performance off of that number.

GUEST COMMENTARY: The Brain - LA LENA - My data says you can ignore the last race at Parx Racing. Contested in the mud, this filly obviously didn't take to the going.

Al Cimaglia: Pompano Park Early Pick 4 Analysis

Pompano Park has a big 13 race card scheduled for tonight and my focus will be on the 0.50 Early Pick 4. That sequence starts in Race 6, it has a $30,000 guaranteed pool with a low 12% takeout.

The drivers with the hottest hands on Sunday were Wally Hennessey and Dave Ingraham with two winners each. All nine races were won by different trainers.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 6

2-Feelin Lika Winner (6-1)-This veteran was Miller's choice over #5 and has taken 9 pictures in 43 starts here. Uppal trainee gets some needed class relief and may have met a beatable field.
7-Caviart Reagan (9/5)-Steps up after taking a picture after getting bet down to 0.10 on a $1. This is a better group, but Hennessey returns, and he will look to get the top and not look back. Will be tough if finds a soft quarter but doesn't offer any value and this is probably not a layup.

Race 7

5-Make A Statement A (2/1)-This looks like a 2-horse race but not sure if this 9-year-old can get top honors if not leading at the top of the lane. Deserves respect and the Beckwith barn has won at a 28% clip over the last 30 days. Did miss a start but the rest may have been needed.
6-Unlikeanyother (9/5)-Winner of 4 straight is versatile and could win on the engine or coming off cover. Miller has choices and winner of 4 of 7 in south Florida could be a smooth trip away from its 5th consecutive picture.

Race 8

1-Windemere Ryan (7/2)-Was driven aggessively in last and just missed. Miller is back between the pipes and he could work a cozy trip here. Does step up but fits with this crew.
3-Hysteria (4-1)-This 5-year-old has raced only 5 times since 6-22-20 and this will be the 5th start since 1-4. Seems to be rounding into form and went the 2nd half in .54 last week. Makes 4th try on Lasix, gets a positive driver change and could be sitting on a big try.
5-Captain Velocity (5/2)-Blasted out with a 26.1 opening quarter and did fade down the lane. Gets some post relief and could get the top without using as much gas.

Race 9

5-Poof Daddy (9-1)-Drops again after being used hard early and the trip took its toll. Might be able to get the pocket behind the program chalk and trip out for a picture at a big price.
6-Sand Sniper (5-1)-Miller's choice as he sticks with the Uppal barn again and they are overdue to post some wins. 5-year-old has speed and put in a flat line in last. That start was with Miller and he could be more aggressive tonight.
8-Well Done Son (1/1)-Did win 2 straight with the addition of Lasix before stepping up and fits well with this crew. But has missed 2 weeks and starts outside so will look to others as well.

#8 Racelynn She gave away some ground late in the two-turn debut last out, but that came for twice this price, and she may stay better with this softer group.
#1 Chicken or the Egg She'll need to work out a trip from the fence, but her local form at this level makes her the one to beat from close range.
#10 Tribute Galaxy She was a decent second at this level a couple starts back, and her latest can be forgiven when facing better at Fair Grounds.
Race Summary Racelynn has some tactical pace, and though she was flat late when trying this trip last time out, she will meet an easier group this time around can be tough at a square price.

Delta Downs - Race #5
Picks Notes
#1/1A Richard Entry Neither of these fillies has shown anything in their combined three starts, but Maiden Rock loses the blinkers while Tweetie tries two turns. The price should be right to see if one of them can jump up and improve here.
#9 Runaway Henny She has not shown much enthusiasm for finishing her races, but she has been in with special weight company in her four-race career, and this big drop to this level might wake her up
#7 Tizindy Queen She has some room to improve while dropping off turf races at Fair Grounds, but she was no match at this level in her debut, and something like the 7/2 ML offering wouldn't seem remotely appealing.
Race Summary Chris Richard has two fillies in here with dull form, but they're both trying something new here, so there is a chance one of them can jump up enough to handle this very modest field.

Delta Downs - Race #8
Picks Notes
#8 Jennifer's Arch She has taken a really nice step forward since adding blinkers off the claim, and she should be in the mix from the start again here after just missing with similar last out.
#3 Wild Mallory She has never been in this easy, and she can probably stick around a little bit better in this second start off the break after fading late in the comeback try.
#5 Lovely Teton She enters this off an improved effort last time out, and something similar to that effort might be enough to land a piece underneath at a price with these.
Race Summary Jennifer's Arch will flash some pace again here after a couple of really nice efforts since adding blinkers for the new connections, and she draws well with some other pace inside.

Race Summary Sweet Carolina gets some big-time class relief after running at Fair Grounds and can get back to good form here.

#1 Scaterra Is part of a tough Chapman entry and comes in off a second at Mountaineer; has shown speed in all races and has the class to run a big one here.

#5 Itzafriendshipshot Faded to fourth last time out and has enough speed to battle from the start.
Race Summary Scaterra has speed and an inside post and can pose a big test for others that have designs on getting the lead; should benefit from taking the shortest way around.

#3 Templement Crushed allowance runners two races back and then ran a solid second last time; is 7 of 17 and is the one to outrun.
