Edmonton swept a two-game set against Ottawa at home last week, scoring 12 goals in the process. The Senators ended their nine-game winless streak (0-8-1) Thursday at Montreal but went right back to their losing ways two days later against the Canadiens at home. Take the Oilers.

This is the perfect spot for Memphis to halt a three-game slide that has followed a seven-game winning streak. Take the Grizzlies.

ANALYSIS: I believe there's a realistic chance BYU pulls the outright upset here as the Cougars are a very good team. Yes, they did lose by 17 at Gonzaga on Jan. 7, but BYU has lost just once since. The Bulldogs have the nation’s longest active winning streak at 22 games dating to last season. Their most recent defeat? In Provo. They are 1-4 ATS in their past five road games this year. BYU has a 7-foot-3 center named Matt Haarms (Purdue transfer) who could help disrupt the nation's No. 1 offense -- at least in the paint.

The Canucks have dropped their past nine in Canada's largest city overall. It's the end of a long trip for them so they probably will be on fumes.

Minnesota played well in a close loss at Rutgers on Thursday. That was the Golden Gophers' third straight defeat. This is their chance for an emphatic bounceback performance that will keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive. Back Minnesota to improve to 7-1 ATS in its last eight home games.

The past four meetings have been decided by eight or fewer points, with SIU-E winning three of those outright. Back the home team to cover for the eighth time in the past nine meetings.

My math model only favors Gonzaga by 9.35 points in this game and the Cougars are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games as underdogs. Gonzaga arrives off an uninspiring 76-58 win over Pacific in which the Bulldogs scored a season-low 1.03 points per possession and trailed at halftime for just the second time this season. BYU is led by senior guard Alex Barcello who is averaging 15.2 points, 4.6 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game this season.
BYU's talent and experience extend well beyond Barcello as seniors Matt Haarms and Brandon Averette are second and third on the team in scoring with 11.5 and 11.3 points per game respectively. Let's also note that BYU's bench has been a key component to the Cougars' success in 2020-21, outscoring opponents in 17 of 19 games played.
I generally like to invest in double-digit underdogs with superior defenses and that is precisely what we have in BYU. The Cougars have been 7.0 points per game better than average defensively this season, allowing 67.7 points per game to teams that would combine to average 74.7 points per game against a mediocre defense.
More importantly, the Cougars are ranked 41st in the nation in field goal percentage defense (40.17) and are limiting opponents to 38.7% shooting from the field on their home floor. With the home team covering the Vegas number in three consecutive meetings in this series, grab the points with BYU and invest with confidence.

One of San Antonio's best perimeter defenders is Lonnie Walker, and he would have been tasked with guarding Curry plenty but is out with an illness. LaMarcus Aldridge is sidelined due to injury. This one will be a lot closer than the first meeting but Golden State should prevail again.
