ANALYSIS: In my opinion, betting on college basketball this time of year is all about desperation. North Carolina is teetering toward the NCAA Tournament bubble, while FSU is definitely not. The Heels need this, and they may catch a break as Noles leading scorer MJ Walker is in question with an ankle injury that caused him to miss Monday's game. FSU is uber-talented (might be a smart Final Four bet) but tends to be much different away from home, where it never loses.

ANALYSIS: The season cannot end too soon for Boston College. The Eagles’ premier three-point shooter, G Rich Kelly, entered the transfer portal this week, joining No. 2 scorer Wynston Tabbs. Scott Spinelli debuts as interim coach after the firing of Jim Christian. BC has covered once in seven home gigs. Notre Dame has hardly enjoyed a banner season but at least is 5-0 straight-up against ACC foes below it in the standings.

ANALYSIS: Let’s be clear. Michigan can win the national title. Yet the traveling Wolverines are vulnerable here, coming off an emotional win over Iowa just 40 hours earlier. Indiana has shown flashes of brilliance. The Hoosiers led Michigan State and Rutgers by double digits in their last two outings, only to lose both straight-up. This is a desperate team with a coach (Archie Miller) sitting on a scalding seat, and it should respond against a visitor that might still be celebrating Thursday’s win.

Central Michigan +11.5 over Ball State
Ball State is an average offensive and defensive team. This team can heat up behind the three point line and can defend the three line well, but I am not so sure they should be favorites of this size against a CMU team that can score. The Chippewas are not a good defense, but again the Cardinals are not a high flying offense. These teams are both below average and have losing records. I think Ball State is getting too much respect in this contest. Take Central Michigan.

Davidson -3 over VCU
VCU has been remarkable this year with a lineup that wasn’t supposed to be this good. This team is super athletic, but have been banged up as of late. Bones Hyland has missed some time and I don’t think this team can keep winning without him. Davidson is a well coached team that doesn’t turn the ball over. VCU turns the ball over a lot which could be trouble for them on the road today against this Wildcats team that makes opponents pay for their mistakes. This team has sneaky size and is strong all over the court. This should be a classic game of a Bob McKillop coached team taking care of the basic fundamentals while the more athletic Rams team gets overly aggressive and coughs the ball up. Take Davidson.

Coastal Carolina -6 over Troy
We cashed in with Coastal last night and will back them again today. Troy is just not a good offensive team and it is going to take a few huge scoring droughts by Coastal for them to stay in this game. This Chanticleers team is better from top to bottom and if Vegas is not going to adjust much we will just take them again. What really has changed since last night? Troy just doesn’t have the physical size to slow down this superior team. Take Coastal Carolina.Comment
