Man City look focused after seeing their 21 game winning streak snapped at the hands of their crosstown rivals United. In all honesty, that is a good thing long term for them so they can stop talking about the streak and just focus on what they need to do. Another good thing for them here is that they have the Premier League wrapped up at this point and all attention can be on finally getting over that Champions League hump. Pep will have these boys focused and ready to go and not allow Gladbach to even get a sliver of hope with a goal.
Gladbach are heeling and have now lost six straight games which is pretty remarkable considering how good this team could be. Most of that can be attributed to their manager Marco Rose announcing he was leaving the club to go to their rivals Dortmund. Why he would think it was a good idea to announce that midseason is beyond me, but nevertheless, he did, and the players were not happy and their performances have been uninspiring to say the least. I don't see them even getting on the board here much like that first meeting.
Pep will push his boys to come our early and put this aggregate away in the first half.

There's some value taking Atalanta plus the half goal head start here on Tuesday against Real Madrid.
Remo Frueler's red card for Atalanta in just the 17th minute of their leg one clash completely changed the complexion of the game, and Atalanta were forced into defensive mode from that point on, a system they're not at all comfortable with as their quarter-final result against PSG showed last season.
Atalanta travel to Madrid with a full compliment of players this time around and are a team full of confidence right now, losing just once over their last ten road Serie A games, averaging 2.33 goals per game this season as well (2nd only behind Inter), and have won each of their last five Champions League matches on the road, including a sweep in the group stage.
Look for Atalanta to play much more aggressively in this leg on Tuesday and get a result against Real Madrid.

Well, it is now at 16 in a row for the Houston Rockets and it is not the good kind of 16 in a row!

The Rockets enter this home game on Tuesday saddled with 16 straight losses and against the points it really has not been much better either, as Houston is on a 1-8 spread slide their last 9 losses.

As for Atlanta, it sure looks like firing Lloyd Pierce was the tonic this team needed to take flight. The Hawks under interim head coach Nate McMillan have won all 5 of their games while covering in their last pair.

The Hawks have lost 6 straight in this series, but it is highly doubtful that winning streak continues tonight with this current Houston roster.

Tuesday's free play winner will be the same as Monday's as I back the scrappy New York Knicks to stay close in their game at the Philadelphia 76ers tonight in the City of Brotherly Love.

Last night New York clawed their way back from an 18-point deficit in their game at Brooklyn as they were within 3-point late when a blown call by the refs went against the Knicks and they wound up losing by 5 points as the +8 1/.2 points road underdog.

The Knicks continue to be a tough out, as they now stand at 7-3 against the spread for their last 10 games played.

Philadelphia is rolling despite losing big man Joel Embiid, as Doc Rivers' team has now won and covered 5 in a row after blasting the San Antonio Spurs 134-99 at home on Sunday.

The Sixers rolled to a 109-89 road win and cover over the Knicks on the day after Christmas this year to make it a perfect 10-for-10 against New York since 2018, but Philly does have a big lookahead game with Milwaukee slated for tomorrow night, so I can totally see New York sneaking inside of this number.

Take the points and the Knicks.

HONORABLE MEMORY - This jock and trainer have a fantastic winning pct when they join forces. Jockey jumped on this filly's back for the 1st ride on February 10th. Should be in tune with the horse even better this time. This filly is obviously on the improve with speed figs of 71, 76, 80 last three out. Filly scored her last race here on February 10th as a shipper. I think she looks like a winner once again. SIERRA DIAMOND - Rounding her way back into form. Each of her finish positions is getting better in her recent starts. This thoroughbred coming off a sharp performance in the last month or so is a strong challenger in my book. Horse has improved at least two speed figure points in last 2 races. I look for that positive trend to continue in this field.

Unlikely to see her doing it this time out either. This filly recorded a speed fig in her last event which probably isn't good enough in today's race. LICHITA - Doesn't look inspiring to me after the lack of any sort of closing ability on February 26th.
