This filly's last speed rating is high enough to win here, I'll play her back again this time around.

SECRET ZAR - This morning-line favorite ran on January 27th and hasn't had a morning drill since then. Don't feel this questionable contender will make an impact in today's race. That last fig was mediocre when compared with today's class rating. MY GLORY - Hard to support any equine with lessening Equibase speed figures of 69/65/38. 4/1 odds isn't enough for this participant when examining the most recent showings. Finished fifth in her most recent effort with a quite unimpressive speed rating. When I look at today's class figure, it would take an improved performance to win after that in this bunch. RACK DADDY - This filly probably needs a more hospitable pace configuration to make her late rush. Had to give me more than that in the last race. Never made much of an impact. Common speed figure last out at Parx Racing at 7 furlongs. Don't think this racer will improve too much today.

The Orioles (+210) are worth a look as a huge road dog against the Yankees in Monday's MLB action. This is just too good a price to pass up with Baltimore after they just went on the road and swept a 3-game series with the Red Sox to open the season. As for New York, they dropped 2 of 3 at home against the Blue Jays. The Yankees offense struggled to get much going in their first series, scoring just 8 total runs in their 3 games with Toronto. Orioles are 9-4 in their last 13 off an upset win as a division dog of +130 or more, while the Yankees are just 4-10 in their last 14 off an upset loss as a division favorite. Play the Orioles +210!

The OVER 9 is worth a look in Monday's NL Central matchup that has the Reds hosting the Pirates. Cincinnati's Great American Ball Park is one of the top hitter parks and we saw that in the Reds first series at home against the Cardinals. The two teams combined for at least 13 runs in the 3-game set.
Cincinnati's offense played a big part of that, as they scored at least 6 in all 3 games and finished up with a total of 27 runs on 30 hits. I look for the Reds to stay hot at the plate in the series opener against the Pirates, as Pittsburgh will have JT Brubaker on the mound.
The key here is the Pirates also figure to put up a big number in this one. Reds' starter Jose De Leon hasn't started a big league game since 2016 and has a 8.49 ERA and 1.89 WHIP over 13 big league appearances (4 starts). De Leon was awful in spring ball, posting a 8.64 ERA and 1.62 WHIP in 16 2/3 innings. He allowed 16 runs on 18 hits, giving up 5 home runs, hitting 4 guys and walking 9. Give me the OVER 9!
