James Paxton will toe the slab for Seattle, and the Big Maple has been quite successful pitching at Safeco. He was lights out this spring, and he has good career numbers against Chicago.
The Sox hand the ball to Lucas Giolito, who was on the wrong side of a 4-3 loss at LA in his season debut. He allowed five runs on six hits and four walks in a loss the last time he faced Seattle.

These two teams enter this game heading in opposite directions with the Ducks having lost three games in a row and the Sharks riding a four-game winning streak. I'll go the contrarian route and grab the insurance goal with the Ducks, however, as they catch San Jose in an unfavorable situation. Note that the Sharks average just 2.0 goals per game after scoring three goals or more in consecutive games this season, outscored by 0.3 goals on average the eight times that situation has presented itself this season. On a similar note, San Jose has won just eight of its last 20 home games after scoring three goals or more in three straight contests. The Sharks are also just 5-10 SU when playing at home after winning six or seven of their last eight games over the last three seasons, as is the case here. They've been outscored by an average margin of 1.0 goal per game in that spot. While the Ducks have generally been a mess this season, it's not as if the Sharks have been a consistent force in the West Division. Note that San Jose is just 7-8 on home ice this season, where it has been outscored by 0.5 goals per game. The lone previous meeting between these two teams in San Jose this season resulted in a narrow 3-2 Sharks victory. Take Anaheim +1.5 goals (8*).
