Event: (47) Dallas Stars at (48) Detroit Red Wings
    Sport/League: NHL
    Date/Time: April 24, 2021 7PM EDT
    Play: REGULATION Dallas Stars -132
NHL - Dallas Stars at Detroit Red Wings
Quick Analysis: We're going to look at the Dallas Stars in a rapid revenge spot on Saturday after a 7-3 loss to this Red Wings side in a game where they failed to match the Wings intensity level early and combined with poor goaltending led to their first loss in regulation over the past 9 games. They've put themselves within a couple points of a playoff spot with a very good April and we'll look for the bounce back here and win in regulation.
The play is Dallas Stars -132 in Regulation

Event: (45) Toronto Maple Leafs at (46) Winnipeg Jets
      Sport/League: NHL
      Date/Time: April 24, 2021 7PM EDT
      Play: Winnipeg Jets +115
(Free Plays 51-22 70%* *31-11 74% L42) Winnipeg played hard and just couldn't come away with the win in the 1st game of this series. Toronto has been having problems with defense lately and has paid the price. They got away with it last game, but the Jets should come back and grab the win on the back end of this B2B. The Jets can probably kiss their chances goodbye to a division title if they don't win this game. Making matters worse, Edmonton is only 1 point behind Winnipeg. I believe Winnipeg has the inspiration to come back and win this all-important game, especially with Toronto having difficulties with their defense. Winnipeg +115 (2%)

Event: (51) Washington Capitals at (52) New York Islanders
        Sport/League: NHL
        Date/Time: April 24, 2021 7PM EDT
        Play: New York Islanders -120
        52 Washington at NY Islanders
We have these two teams virtually equal, and Thursdays contest proved that. The Capitals went to a shootout to secure a 1-0 victory. That game close NY as about a -120 favorite. Saturday we are seeing a similar line despite the Washington victory. Let's back the Islanders who are 19-2-3 at home, and trail the Capitals by a single point.

              Play on: UNDER 9 -110

Mariners vs Red Sox Free Pick April 24, 2021
The Boston Red Sox are averaging 5.44 runs per game, but here they'll come up against Chris Flexen (1-1, 3.38 ERA) who is off to a fast start to the season and this will be the Red Sox first look at him. In his last outing, Flexen held Houston to one run through six innings of a 1-0 loss, and producing runs has been an issue for Seattle at times.
Boston starter Nathan Eovaldi (3-1, 3.04 ERA) owns a 4.09 ERA in four career starts against the Mariners, but he's had a promising start to the year, holding three of four opponents to two or fewer runs and the right-hander has a solid 24/4 K/BB ratio over 23 2/3 innings of work.
              5/10* free pick on UNDER.

                  MLB | MIL vs CHC
                  Play on: UNDER 8½ -118

Sure there's a risk going Under with the Cubs pitching rookie Adbert Alzolay and Chicago swinging hot bats scoring 35 runs in its last three games.
But there are more negative factors to going Over starting with the weather. There is not a strong wind blowing out at Wrigley Field like Friday when the Cubs won, 15-2, and there were 14 extra base hits. Expect much different today with damp weather conditions, temperatures in the 50s and just a slight breeze blowing to left field. Then there are the Brewers. They rank 28th in batting average. Christian Yelich remains on IL. Lorenzo Cain is out, too. Keston Hiura is batting .111 with three extra base hits in 64 plate appearances. Milwaukee is weak offensively right now, but strong defensively with an upper-tier bullpen. Alzolay's metrics suggest he's pitched better than his 6.10 ERA indicates. Brewers starter Freddy Peralta has been very good with a 2.00 ERA in four appearances, including three starts. The right-handed Peralta is a flamethrower with 31 strikeouts in 18 innings. Before Friday's game, the Cubs were batting only .192 versus right-handed pitching, which was last in the league.

Soccer | Brighton & Hove Albion vs Sheffield United
Play on: Sheffield United +541 at pinnacle

Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach EPL Saturday Free Pick Sheffield United Money Line +540 vs Brighton & Hove Albion @ 3 ET - Sheffield is now officially relegated. Now playing with no pressure, do not be surprised if they come up with a massive upset win here on their home pitch. I know Sheffield has been the worst team in the league this season but they are looking a little better since the managerial change and actually played Wolverhampton very evenly in the 1-0 loss suffered last Saturday. Even though Sheffield only has 3 wins on their home pitch this season, Brighton has but 7 wins, home or away, for the entire campaign! That said, I feel the offer of a 5 to 1 payback on a team that will be on their home pitch and playing loose and relaxed is simply too much to pass up on here. Keep in mind, Brighton is not yet safe from relegation and Sheffield is motivated by playing the role of spoiler. Also, these clubs have met 3 times over the last 16 months and Brighton has won exactly ZERO of the 3 meetings! In their last 3 matches overall entering into this one, Brighton has scored a total of exactly ONE goal. I am well aware that the host has also been struggling to score goals but do not be surprised when they play a very spirited game here and, with the weight of avoiding relegation being lifted off of their shoulders, the home team simply comes out and plays soccer. In the end, they score a massive upset win. Free Pick SHEFFIELD UNITED

                          # 4 ED GATTY 8/1
                          # 1 PRESS BRIEFING 5/1
                          # 2 CROOKED FINGER RAY 5/2
I think ED GATTY is a very good selection and is a solid value bet given the line. He looks quite good in this slot and I expect will be on the front end or close at the midpoint. Had one of the top Equibase Speed Figures of this field in his last race. Is hard not to look at based on speed figures which have been very good - 75 avg - of late. PRESS BRIEFING - Vaunts solid speed figures on average overall when compared with the rest of this group. A nice ROI of +40 with this jockey and trainer duo. CROOKED FINGER RAY - This gelding has a strong win percentage in dirt sprint races. This gelding has to be given consideration just off the earnings per start in dirt sprint races alone.

                            Hawthorne - Race #4 - Post: 4:34pm - Maiden Special - 6.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $22,000 Class Rating: 60

                            Rating:

                            #3 RONAN (ML=5/1)

RONAN - This mare is almost always in-the-money. This thoroughbred coming off a strong try in the last month is a serious competitor in my humble opinion. A repeat of that recent race on April 3rd where she garnered a figure of 60 looks strong enough to win in this affair.

                            Vulnerable Contenders: #1 LILY'S WOOFY (ML=5/2), #2 ONE FLASHY GIRL (ML=3/1), #4 WAR COLORS (ML=7/2),

LILY'S WOOFY - I prognosticate a setback for this animal in this race. ONE FLASHY GIRL - I foresee a disappointing effort for this horse in this event. WAR COLORS - I cannot play this perpetual non-winner. Gets the task finished once in a while.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: #3 RONAN is going to be the play if we are getting 1/1 or better

                              RECOMMENDED CHOICES

                              # 6 INDIAN SENSE 5/2
                              # 7 CINDY'S CANDY 8/5
My pick in this race is FRAN'S SALSA. Bettors should feel comfortable with this choice given Castro's recent gains at the window. Ought to be given a shot based on the very strong speed figure garnered in the last competition. Going in a dirt sprint race gives this mare a respectable shot. INDIAN SENSE - Overall the speed figures of this equine look respectable in this contest. Rodriguez will almost certainly be able to get this filly to break out early for this event. CINDY'S CANDY - Her 82 average has this mare with among the best speed figures for this event. Could best this group based on the speed fig - 80 - of her last contest.

Golden Gate Fields - Race #5 - Post: 2:55pm - Maiden Special - 8.5 furlongs on the Turf. Purse: $40,000 Class Rating: 81

                                Rating:

                                #4 MISS EVER READY (ML=3/1)
                                #1 TRIBAL NATION (ML=5/2)

MISS EVER READY - I like to bet on this angle, a thoroughbred coming back off a strong outing within the last 30 days. A definite class advantage goes to this horse. That's a good sign she will be very competitive in this turf race. This filly is utmost in earnings per race entered. Give the once over to this thoroughbred before the race. Horse has improved at least two Equibase speed fig points in last 2 races. I look for that to continue its positive trend today. TRIBAL NATION - Mathis is strong in grass routes. This animal should have no allowances if he doesn't win. Dropping 7 pounds from last race. Could be a deciding factor today. Made up a ton of ground running 6 furlongs in the last race. Should do well on the stretch-out today.

Vulnerable Contenders: #7 TRASH TALKIN CAT (ML=9/5), #6 BARHOPSKY (ML=5/1),

TRASH TALKIN CAT - If you keep choosing these kind of 'bridesmaid' types, you're going to be frustrated most every time. This favorite ran on Mar 28th and hasn't had a morning drill since. This questionable contender has had no success at Golden Gate Fields. BARHOPSKY - Going to have a hard go of it with all the other early foot in this contest.

GUEST COMMENTARY: The Turf Man - MISS EVER READY - Racing on the turf in a route makes this steed extremely dangerous today. Sherman has an excellent win percentage with horses at today's distance/surface.
