We should get a big effort from the Memphis Grizzlies tonight after losing four of their last five games to fall back to .500 on the season. They are now in jeopardy of missing the playoffs so they won't be taking the Timberwolves lightly. And Minnesota is playing well of late so they are starting to get some respect from the books. But the Grizzlies are the far superior team with a lot more to play for right now and should cover this short number on the road. The Grizzlies are 5-0 SU & 5-0 ATS in their last five meetings with the Timberwolves with all five wins coming by 7 points or more. Give me the Grizzlies.

Wednesday's Free NBA Pick is on the Philadelphia 76ers as a massive 13-point road favorite against the Houston Rockets. I just can't help myself here. The 76ers look like a team that has their eyes set on finishing the season strong and securing that No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
The only way they don't cover this number in my opinion is if they are a complete no show. That's how bad the Rockets have been. Houston has won 3 games in the last 30+ days, repeatedly losing by double-digits during this stretch. This is simply a massive mismatch in terms of talent. Bet the 76ers -13!

I like taking the UNDER in the 2nd game of these double-header situations in the NBA this season. Familiarity favors defense and low-scoring games, and the Spurs and Jazz are very familiar with each other having just played in Utah on Monday.
Now they face off again in Salt Lake City tonight in the 2nd game of this double-header. The Jazz won 110-99 for just 209 combined points in the first meeting, and we have a total of 218.5 for the rematch. Both teams shot well too with the Jazz making 50% and the Spurs 46.7% in that first meeting, so they it's going to be hard seeing them top 218.5 points tonight.
Utah isn't nearly as potent offensively without its top two guards in Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley. The Jazz have been held to 110 or fewer points in five of their last six games overall. They have been held to 112 or fewer in seven of their last eight as well. The Spurs have been held to 112 or fewer in 10 of their last 12 games and prefer to slow the pace down as it is.
Utah ranks 3rd in defensive efficiency this season while San Antonio ranks 12th. The UNDER is 13-6 in the last 19 meetings in Utah. The UNDER is 6-1 in Spurs last seven games following a loss by more than 10 points. The UNDER is 5-0 in Jazz last five home games. The UNDER is 8-1 in Jazz last nine games as favorites. Bet the UNDER in this game Wednesday.

I will take my chances with the Angels as a mere -121 home favorite against the Rays. Los Angeles will have Shohei Ohtani on the mound. Ohtani will be making his fourth start of the season. He's pitched effectively with a 3.29 ERA, despite a relatively high 1.390 WHIP. He's able to get away with it because of his elite swing and miss stuff (37.1 K%). Also worth noting that his ERA is down at 1.04 in two home starts.
Angels have won all 3 of Ohtani's starts. Not only has he pitched well, LA is scoring a ton of runs for him. Angels have put up 22 runs in his 3 starts, scoring at least 6 in each game. Not sure if it's because he's thought of more as a hitter than a pitcher, but it's hard to find this kind of value with this kind of talent.
As for the Rays, they are going to turn to reliever Andrew Kittredge to make his first start. While he's been decent out of the pen, starting is a whole different animal. Tampa Bay's relievers have also struggled to the tune of a 5.90 ERA in 14 road games this season. Give me the Angels -121!

The Avs have seen the 'under' cash in just two of their last nine games overall and it's worth noting that we were on the 'under' in both of those contests, on April 26th in St. Louis and April 30th at home against San Jose. I believe the situation is ripe for another 'under' result here in Wednesday as the Avs and Sharks come off back-to-back high-scoring affairs.
