Ran a sharp race last time around the track within the last thirty days. I like this mare. Has the top earnings per race in today's event. NOTE TO SELFIE - Last time she ran at this distance she notched a speed fig good enough to win today's event. COURTING JENNY - I like to see consistency in a racehorse. Look at this filly's PPs. Almost always in the money. Always be wary of the longer priced equine when a trainer has an 'uncoupled' entry in a race.

DIRTY GIRL - The speed figure last time around the track doesn't fit very well in this event when I look at the Equibase class figure of today's race. Mark this thoroughbred as a possibly overvalued equine. GIZMO FLASH - This filly in all probability won't be really close at the wire. LIFE ON THE EDGE - This filly finished out of the top three on March 19th and wasn't near the winner last out either. This filly hasn't had any strong victories in sprint events in the last couple of months.

KING T'CHALLA - This gelding is in top physical condition right now. Ran second in the last race and comes back quickly. If this gelding gets out of the gate cleanly, he'll be tough to catch. Last out, this one was in a race at Belterra Park in a race with a class figure of 62. Dropping considerably in Equibase class figure this time out puts him in a solid position in this event. SAMURAI SAINT - Taking a big drop in class rating points from his April 9th race at Oaklawn Park. Based on that data point, I will give this horse the edge. In the last race, finished sixth on an off track at Oaklawn Park. Have to give a better effort right here.

MACHINE GUNNER - Not probable for this one to make a winning move with no recent good showings in a sprint affair. Placed much too far in the rear in the first part of the last route race will probably make it tough to make an impression today in this sprint race. HALABOUTTHAT - Tough to play any horse in a short distance event at 4/1 when he hasn't shown any positive results in sprints in the last couple of months. Not likely that the speed fig he garnered on November 4th will be good enough in this race. TACTICAL LANDING - Generally I need a sprinter to have some recent good showings in sprint races in order to bet on him. Finished fifth in his most recent effort with a common speed rating. When I look at today's class rating, it would take an improved performance to score after that in this group.

My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play I cut for the Wednesday afternoon games is with Under the Total in the match between Real Villarreal and Manchester United. Villarreal is going to play this match close to the vest under manager Unai Emery. The Yellow Submarines play a conservative possession-based game that rarely presses. The goal is to lull their opponents into submission. They have allowed only two goals in their last six matches in the Europa League consisting of their two legs since the start of the Round of 16. Man United will be without centerback Harry Maguire — and while some may conclude his loss impacts the Red Devils’ cohesion on their backline, this understates his importance in moving the ball up the pitch. Maguire was third in the English Premier League with the most carry yards towards the opponent’s goal. The Man United attack often begins with Maguire. His likely replacement, Eric Bailly, comes closer to matching Maguire’s defensive skills than he does his dribbling and passing. Take the Under. Best of luck — Frank.

I will take my chances with the OVER 8.5 in Wednesday's Angels/Rangers AL West matchup. OVER has hit in 5 of the last 6 games for Los Angeles and 3 of the last 4 for Texas. I see no reason why we shouldn't expect these two teams to at least combine for 9 runs tonight.
For starters, the ball carries a little better in the afternoon than it does at night in LA, plus you got the wind blowing out to left center.
