JADED TIGER - I like the jock on this filly - formidable chance to win the race. Is a contender - given the 85 Equibase speed fig from her most recent race. AT U LOVER - Will probably come out strong - I have liked the way this mare has moved sharply to the lead recently. Always seems to be close up at the wire.

BESTOW - This jock and handler's animals have been generating a favorable return on investment. This filly should get an ideal trip in this spot. She looks like the only 'stalker' in this event. This filly is back in a race very quick. This is a great angle - Sprinters that come back in less than 10 days after a race. A good sign of a sharp and ready racehorse. Have to like the way Calderon has raced this filly back into shape off the layoff. Horse is well spotted in this sprint and I think she'll run well today. PLAYFUL UNION - Sprinters that come back to the races quickly are generally good plays. I'm optimistic this mare will run well today. Last morning work was 2nd fastest of the day, which tells me she's sharp right now. This mare registered a strong speed fig of 62 in her last contest. That speed rating should be high enough to score in today's event. Traditional handicapping angle - 3rd or 4th start after a layoff generally leads to a big effort. This horse is live today. This one has increased her speed ratings from a fig of 40 to 47 to 62 right in a row. HUNTER'S HELLCAT - The morning line odds on this filly are higher than those of the other entrant from the shedrow of conditioner Clouston. Often the longer-priced part of a 'split' entry wins. Looking at today's class figure, this pony is meeting an easier bunch than last time around the track at Mountaineer Park. Popular handicapping angle - 3rd or 4th start after a layoff generally leads to a big effort. Going to run a good one.

IN CLASS - This chalk horse ran on May 30th and hasn't had a drill after that. 9/5 is not priced right for any horse in a sprint of 6 furlongs that hasn't hit the board in a short distance contest lately. CLASSY LAURIEANN - This pony didn't go to the lead and didn't close ground down the stretch last time she ran. Don't believe this questionable contender will make a winning move in today's race. That last speed rating was mediocre when compared with today's class figure. LADY MARVEL - 8/1 odds isn't enough for this thoroughbred when scrutinizing the most recent outings. No good results for this vulnerable equine in a short distance race over the last 60 days tells me that this mare is in a formidable circumstance
