Sport/League: MLB
Date/Time: July 1, 2021 7PM EDT
Play: Washington Nationals +124 T Gonsolin (RHP), P Corbin (LHP) Must Start
Take Washington (#904)
The Nationals are two games over .500 for the first time since they won the World Series back in 2019; playing their best baseball of the year right now. They’ve pounded out 32 runs while winning four straight; 14-3 in their last 17 ballgames overall. And Washington isn’t doing it against bottom feeders – they’ve beaten up on the Phillies, Mets, Rays and Giants during this span. Starter Patrick Corbin has been a quality start machine over the last two months and he’s got an excellent track record against this Dodgers lineup dating back to his tenure with the D-backs, holding current Dodgers to a .220 batting average and a .743 OPS in a decent 94 at-bat sample size. Live dog here! Take the Nationals.
Teddy’s MLB continues to sizzle: 6-2 (75%) over the last five days, 29-15 (66%) with his last 44 releases and 38-21 (64%) since the first week of May. Teddy has delivered back-2-back NBA winners for himself & his clients; riding a 75% Playoff hot streak over the last two weeks and 60-41 (59%) over the last three postseasons. Event: (541) Atlanta Hawks at (542) Milwaukee Bucks
Sport/League: NBA
Date/Time: July 1, 2021 8PM EDT
Play: Jrue Holiday UNDER 39.5 Points Rebounds Assists
Holiday had the big game one with 33 points, 10 assists and 4 rebounds, but since then he’s only had a total of 31 PRA, 22 PRA, and last game when Giannis went out 19 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds. Holiday is 2-10 from three pointers the last 2 games, he doesn’t have more than 5 rebounds in any of the games this series, and without Giannis he now might struggle with assists. Giannis cutting to the basket with a head of steam is an easy assist for him, and now the Hawks defense doesn’t have to crash inside when Giannis gets the ball. I think Atlanta is going to be able to play a big tighter defense on the perimeter, and Holiday isn’t a premier shot created like Trae Young, Devin Booker…I think the lack of Giannis has a ripple effect and Holiday could be negatively affected.Comment

Play: Play Bogdanovic Over 15.5 Points -127
Milwaukee Bucks vs Atlanta Hawks - NBA - Player Prop
Bogdan Bogdanovic (Points )(must start)
The Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo has been ruled out of Game 5 vs Hawks tonight and after a stretch of six postseason games in which BogDog didn't score in double figures while playing on a bum knee the backcourt sharp-shooter broke out with 20 points in the Game 4 loss to the Bucks.
A healthy Bogdanovic tonight against a sagging Milwaukee perimeter defense tonight results in another 20-plus point performance for the former 1st-round draft pick of the Phoenix Suns.

Play: Arizona Diamondbacks +130 J Cueto (RHP), M Kelly (RHP) Must Start
Contrarian call in this game, to say the least, as we have the best team in the league versus the worst team. However, even the worst teams win 50+ games every season, so Arizona is due to correct, while the Giants have been overachieving all year. The loss of 1B Brandon Belt (3rd most HR's on team) last week has hurt this San Francisco offense, and the Giants are 0-3 in their past three games, and have scored 2 runs or less in four of their past five outings without Belt.Comment

With the "Magic 8-Ball" a little murky as to the playing status and the productivity of Trae Young and now Giannis Antetokoumnpo hazy at best, I think the safest assumption for tonight's Game Five of this Eastern Conference Finals is to once again play the Under.
This series has seen each of the last 3 games land easily Under the total after a Game One Over.
The Hawks have now played 7 of their last 8 in the playoffs and 12 of their 16 games overall Under the total this postseason.
The Bucks are right there with the Hawks as they have held Under in 10 of their 15 playoff contests, including 8 of their last 11.
With Young dealing with a bone bruise on his ankle and Giannis listed as doubtful for this contest, those missing points will not be of any help for those Over players tonight at Fiserv Forum.
Game Five of this Atlanta-Milwaukee series goes the route of the previous 3 games in the books and that is Under the total.

My free pick tonight features an NBA player prop in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final between the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks.
The injuries are mounting in what has turned into the ugliest postseason I've seen in decades. Round after round, it's been injury after injury. Tonight we have Atlanta's Trae Young questionable and Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo doubtful.
It's now 1 pm eastern and the new injury report is due out in 30 minutes. I don't have time to wait for it, but I also don't care as the prop I like tonight is Bogdan Bogdanovic to go Over 3 1/2 3-pointers.
Bogdanovic came through in Game 4, looking like his normal self by contributing with 20 points in the Hawks' win. That included an outstanding 6-of-14 (.428) from 3-point range. The spurt snapped a six-game streak in which he had two or fewer 3s.
Make note, Bogdanovic had four or more 3-pointers over the final six regular-season games for Atlanta, so burying the trey is no foreign substance for this dude. And now, with newfound confidence, I think he'll step up whether Young plays or not, contributing once again.
Factor in that Milwaukee's paltry defense allowed more points from 3-land than any other team in the league, and I don't mind counting on BB making four 3s tonight.

It is hot versus hot tonight in Washington, D.C. as the Dodgers who just swept a quick pair of games against the Giants and have now won 5 in a row visit a Nationals team that has won 4 straight and 14 of their last 17 games overall.
I will admit while the price tonight on the surging Nationals as the home underdog is tempting, their starting pitcher Patrick Corbin is keeping me from backing them in this spot.
Corbin is only 5-6 on the season, but it is his 5.33 ERA that is raising the red flag for me tonight. That and the fact the southpaw is a career 5-10 with a 3.71 ERA in 20 career starts plus a pair of relief appearances against Los Angeles.
Tony Gonsolin has yet to work past the 4th inning in any of his starts this season as he continues to try and build up stamina in his pitching wing, but the Dodgers are 4-0 when he starts for the season and his ERA is just 2.77.
The Dodgers swept a 3 game series back in April at home off of the Nationals, including a 9-5 win in a game that Corbin started for the visitors.
Dodgers to draw first blood.

Let's play the Washington Nationals tonight, as they're catching a value price at home against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Washington left-hander Patrick Corbin has been better lately, producing consecutive quality starts in his last three trips to the hill. And when you dig deep to see how the Dodgers have struggled against lefties this season - they have a league-low .217 team batting average against southpaws - you have to believe this road trip could start off with a struggle.
Los Angeles hands the ball to right-hander Tony Gonsolin, who has looked good in four starts, but also hasn’t seen the fifth inning yet. With Washington’s lineup surging of late, I would think the Nationals will chase Gonsolin and move on to the Los Angeles bullpen en route to the win.
Let's make money with a home underdog.
