    FREE PICK - Reds/Royals OVER 10
    RATING: 30*
    ROT#: 921/922
I will take my chances with the OVER 10 in Monday's game between the Reds and Royals. Everything is set up here for a lot of scoring by both teams. Reds are sending out Vladimir Gutierrez, who has a 8.22 ERA and 1.892 WHIP in his last 3 starts, giving up 14 runs in 15 1/3 innings.
It's not any better for Kansas City starter Mike Minor, who owns an even worse 8.64 ERA and 1.920 WHIP in his last 3 starts, giving up 16 runs in 16 2/3 innings.
The other big key besides the poor starting pitching, is it's going to be hot with the wind blowing out slightly to left. Heat index will be pushing 90 degrees. Expect the ball to be flying out of the park today. Give me the OVER 10!

The Cincinnati Reds have won four straight and are now 21-12 in their last 33 games. They should not be underdogs to the Kansas City Royals, who are 6-22 in their last 28 games overall. Kansas City starter Mike Minor is 6-6 with a 5.32 ERA in 17 starts this season, and 0-2 with a 12.60 ERA in his last two starts while giving up 14 earned runs in 10 innings. Give me the Reds.

Jack's Free Pick Monday: Boston Red Sox -103
The Boston Red Sox have gone 9-1 in their last 10 games overall to get to 53-32 on the season. They have been one of the most underrated teams in baseball in 2021. And I believe that to be the case again Monday as they are basically even money against the Los Angeles Angels.
The Angels are missing two of their best hitters in Mike Trout and Justin Upton, and they could be without another in Anthony Rendon, who left last game with a hamstring injury. The Red Sox have stayed remarkably healthy and will get after Jose Suarez, who will be making his first start of the season for Los Angeles.
Martin Perez is 6-4 with a 4.04 ERA in 16 starts this season, including 3-1 with a 2.10 ERA in six road starts. He is 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA in his last three starts as well. Perez faced the Angels on May 15th earlier this season and fired six shutout innings to get the win in a 9-0 Boston victory.
Suarez is 0-11 against the money line vs. teams that average 0.5 or fewer stolen bases per game over the last three seasons. His teams are losing by 3.5 runs per game in this spot. Suarez is 5-9 with a 6.51 ERA and 1.608 WHIP in his career in the big leagues spanning 110 2/3 innings. Bet the Red Sox Monday.

Monday comp play goes out on Milwaukee and the New York Mets to hold Under the posted total from Citi Field.

The Brewers saw a streak of 4 straight Overs come to a halt on the 4th of July, as they were blanked yesterday at Pittsburgh.

The Mets had their streak of 3 straight Overs snapped in the nightcap of their doubleheader last night in the Bronx against the Yankees.

My gut tells me that Brandon Woodruff and Tylor Megill will be dealing on Monday and the runs will be limited.

Woodruff owns a 1.87 season ERA and has seen each of his last 3 starts hold Under the total. For the year, 11 of his 15 season starts have also landed Under the total.

Tylor Megill is making just his third start this year and has recorded 12 strikeouts in his 9-plus innings worked.

This night belongs to the pitchers.

              Brewers-Mets Under the total.

              2* MILWAUKEE-N.Y. METS UNDER

My free play is on the Tampa Bay Rays Run Line against the struggling Cleveland Indians, who have lost six straight and eight of 10.

The Rays, admittedly, have had their fair share of struggles over the past week, having toughed their way through a five-game losing streak. But they snapped the skid with a 5-1 win over Toronto in Buffalo on Sunday, and return home, where they're 23-16 with a run differential of plus-38.

Tampa Bay hosts Cleveland for three and Toronto for another three before the All-Star Break. It wouldn't shock me to see the Rays ride a seven-game win streak into the season's intermission.

Cleveland has been a mess, really, since June 18, a span that has seen the Indians lose 11 of 15 and been outscored 83-61 in the process. They've lost eight of their last 13 road games, and contributing to their season-long minus-16 run differential has been a mediocre showing on the road, that has them being outscored by 11 runs.

The pitching matchup does Cleveland no favors, either, as the Indians go with Logan Allen (1-5, 8.38 ERA) against veteran Rich Hill (6-3, 3.70 ERA). Allen is 0-1 on the road with a 13.50 ERA, while Hill is 2-1 with a 2.30 ERA in his last five home starts.

                All Rays tonight.

Your free play will be for the Lightning and the Canadiens to come back to reality and play a game that holds Under the posted price.

Friday night saw the largest combined goal total of the 3 games played in this series, as the Lightning and Canadiens combined for a massive 9 goals as the Over was an easy money winner.

That makes 2 of the 3 games skated in this series having landed Over the total, but I feel with elimination of the line tonight things will tighten up between the pipes with Andrei Vasilevskiy and Carey Price keeping the scoring limited.

The Lightning has gone 10-5-2 Under for their last 17 this postseason, while the Canadiens are on a 10-6-4 run for their last 20 these playoffs.

Tampa goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy has held foes to 2 goals or less now in 6 of his last 9 games between the pipes.

The 3 that Montreal scored on Friday was the "mulligan" for Big Andrei as he had held the Canadiens to just one goal in the first 2 games played in this series.

Not sure if Tampa closes it out tonight, but I am sure there will not be a whole heckuva lot of scoring.

We have hockey tonight, and that means another player prop to make us money. I love the number on Brayden Point to score a goal, as the plus-price if far too enticing to pass up.

Point has made a habit of finding the score sheet in series-clinching games for the Lightning and can join rare company with another Cup-clinching goal.

Point, who scored the Cup-clinching goal in last season's playoff bubble during, enters Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final having found the back of the net in two of the Lightning’s three series-clinching games during these playoffs, including the series-clinching goal in the second round against the Hurricanes.

Point, who can become just the third player in NHL history to score the Stanley Cup-clinching goal in consecutive years, has yet to score against the Montreal Canadiens, and has just three assists from Game 1 since the series started. He scored in 13 of the team's first 17 playoff games and is long overdue for a goal after being held without one in four straight.

Remember, Point led the team during the regular season with 48 points and 23 goals.

With a chance to wrap up the series in a historic building, and with a track record of finding the back of the net in series-clinching games, I'm playing Point to score tonight.
