ANALYSIS: I don't have much faith in Mets starter Trevor Williams, although he has been decent since the trade from the Cubs, but absolutely none in Nats starter Patrick Corbin, he of the 6.26 overall ERA and 6.11 at home. Since the start of July, Washington has won just two of his outings. The Mets are duly motivated and rolling. They can't afford to lose games like this.

ANALYSIS: In the slump I am in, perhaps it's time to change my thinking a bit. The Cubs are actually playing pretty well right now -- naturally, ruining their 2021 draft position. The Reds, meanwhile, have lost six of eight and are sitting noted Cub-killer Joey Votto today. With Jesse Winker still on the IL, that's a very watered-down lineup. Thus, I'll take the shot on the Cubs RL at -125. Chicago starter Justin Steele comes off his best outing of the year.

ANALYSIS: I was watching Baseball Tonight on Sunday evening, and Buck Showalter said he thought the Yankees losing two of three over the weekend at home to the sorry Orioles might be a perfect wake-up call to snap the Bombers out of their funk. I guess I will take him at his word. The Blue Jays mauled the A's over the weekend, but Toronto has hit much worse away from home in 2021. NYY starter Jameson Taillon is 5-1 with a 3.36 ERA at home. Toronto's Hyun Jin Ryu has a 4.46 ERA during the day and was very hit-or-miss in six August starts overall. The Jays are 1-6 in their past seven as dogs. You won't get the Yanks this low at home often and there's not much value taking Toronto on the RL.

ANALYSIS: The Orioles are going with a bullpen game today starting with lefty Zac Lowther. The Royals are starting Kris Bubic and he has been very hit or miss. The Royals are actually 12-8 in the past 3 weeks and 7-3 on the road while the Orioles are 5-14 in the same time span. The Os bullpen is the worst in the league and the Royals have been playing well lately. Take the value in the Royals. I am not sure why the Os lineup still isn't out 30 minutes before the game but that's never good for that team. Either way, I would take this line with a normal Os lineup so I will still make this play anyway.

The Indians have been much better at home while the Twins have struggled on the road. The Indians are 11-7 in the past 3 weeks and 6-3 at home while the Twins are 7-11 and 3-7 on the road in the same timeframe. Jose Ramirez should be back in the lineup after an off day yesterday and the Twins only have 27 road wins all season. Take the home dogs.

We did lose on the Rockies +1.5 at home on Sunday vs. Atlanta but it still has proven hugely profitable this season. Rox lefty Kyle Freeland pitched in San Francisco last month and won, allowing a run over six. SF has lost the past two starts of Kevin Gausman. Colorado is 15-5 in its past 20 after scoring two or fewer runs in its previous game.
