OUR TIME - I usually like playing sprinters who are 3-4 races into a return. I like horses that return to a similar class level after dropping at least 5 class pts like this one did last time around the track. I believe he'll be competitive at this class level. SCOOP THE CASH - Faced tougher last time out at Penn National. Based on Equibase class ratings, this is a weaker group, so I will put this one on my list of choice plays. I have to believe Radosevich is making a good move here. This gelding can only benefit from the shorter trip. Carrying 5 pounds less this race. Trainer has him in a good spot. UNCLE KEVIN - Although I sometimes have doubts about a thoroughbred who failed as the favorite in his last race, this gelding got a solid speed fig and fits well here. A thoroughbred coming back this promptly after a sharp race is a good omen. Took a class drop last time out at Thistledown. Johnson keeps him at the same level right here. I think that's a good move.

FRONTIER MESA - This horse hasn't shown very much in the last two events. August 11th is the last time we've seen this gelding around. Have to be a little bit leery. NO EXAGGERATION - Should take this one off your contenders roll call with the shortage of zip in that last route contest. FLEET RUN - Recent dropping speed figures of 57/52/46 give an indication that this equine may be going off form. This horse ran a pedestrian speed figure last time around the track. He shouldn't run better and will probably get beat today running that figure.

SPARTY has a strong shot to take this affair especially at 12/1. Is a solid contender - given the 88 Equibase Speed Figure from his most recent race. Penaloza has this gelding running well and is a solid choice based on the decent Equibase Speed Figs earned in sprint races lately. POWERFUL ALLY - Florescoba has a very solid winning percentage with horses moving in dirt sprint races. Has to be carefully examined for this event if only for the very good Equibase speed fig put up in the last race. SKIPIN ON ORCHARD - The average Equibase class rating of 82 makes this entrant hard to beat. Is tough not to look at based on Speed Figures which have been decent - 82 avg - of late.
