Play on: Falcons -3 -120 at William Hill

DMack's Free NFL Play for Sunday, Sept 12th
Not much to recommend on either of these Dirty Birds. Both teams with new coaches and new systems. Philly is banking on a second year quarterback that went 1-3 in four starts and completed just 52% of his passes. IMO, Atlanta has the better roster and for sure the better of the head coaches. Matt Ryan starts his farewell tour and if you REALLY look at the numbers, he hasn't been bad the last couple of years. Ryan is from Philadelphia. Atlanta generally plays better at home and is 17-5 ATS in their L22 home openers. Hotlanta is also 8-1 in their L9 in home openers when favored and might just be worth a flyer.

      NFL | Steelers vs Bills
      Play on: UNDER 49 -110

Buffalo @ Pittsburgh 1:00 PM ET
      Game# 453-454
      Play On: Under 49.0
These teams have squared off in each of the past 2 seasons and both games stayed under the total. Buffalo won on both occasions by scores of 26-15 and 17-10. As a matter of fact, since 2019 Buffalo has played 6-0 to the under versus AFC North teams. The Bills have also gone under in 7 of their last 10 non-division home games and there was an average total of 47.3 during those contests. Conversely, Pittsburgh has played an incredible 45-14 (76.3%) to the under in their last 49 road games.
This total opened at 51.0 and is currently 48.5 despite of 52% of tickets bet and 56% of money wagered going on the over. This just in, public bettors rarely if ever line up early to wager on a game to go under. This move clearly indicates to me that sharp money like mine has been placed on the under.

        NFL | Seahawks vs Colts
Play on: Seahawks -3 +101 at pinnacle

        1* NFL - Seahawks/Colts FREE PICK on Seahawks -3
Sunday's Free NFL Pick is on the Seattle Seahawks as a 3-point road favorite against the Indianapolis Colts. Turns out the Colts are going to end up having Carson Wentz under center, but my question is how good is he going to be coming off that foot injury and will it hold up? I also don't think just because Wentz changed teams he's going to be a different guy than what we saw last year. It doesn't help the Colts are down All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson and lost a huge weapon for the season in WR T.Y. Hilton. Russell Wilson and the Seahawks are kind of a team no one is really talking about. I think they are by just the better team in this matchup. Bet Seattle -3!

          NFL | Cardinals vs Titans
          Play on: OVER 53½ -110

Your FREE PLAY for Sunday is on the OVER between Arizona and the Titans. I think this game is going to be an absolute shoot-out. The total has moved a couple points from its opening number. I won't be shocked to get 60+ here. The Titans can hit you from all over the field. And the fact their defense is like swiss cheese only helps the cause. Arizona is one of those teams that lays eggs while playing division rivals - 18-7, 20-12, 24-20, 28-21, just to toss out a few. But when they want to come out. Oh they do. 32-30 vs Buff 34-31 Miami --- 38-10 Dallas 30-10 Jets 30-15 Washington. Now these last 3 would not get us the Over today. But Dallas minus Dak. The Jets! And Washington with whoever they trotted out from the raffle at QB. Arizona offense put up their 30. Again. Titans defense not to be confused with the 2000 Ravens, Doomsday, Steel Curtain or whatever else you want to pull up! If this game isn't in the 40s by halftime I will be shocked. Take the OVER . -- Higgs -- Be sure not to miss my Best Bet or Sure Shot on tap here Sunday.

              NFL | Jaguars vs Texans
              Play on: OVER 45½ -110

#457/458 ASA FREE NFL PLAY ON Over 45.5 Points – Jacksonville vs Houston, Sunday at 1:00 PM ET - We don’t want to get involved in a side of this contest which features a pair of teams that won just 5 combined games last season, but we do like the Total and will bet OVER. It was obvious during the preseason that new Jags head coach Urban Meyer wants to play fast. In their last game they ran 73 plays which is unusually high for an exhibition game. Jacksonville did rank 6th in pace of play a year ago so look for them to play uptempo again this season. The offensive cupboard isn't bare for the Jags with rookie QB Lawrence, who has several weapons at his disposal, with 1,000-yard back James Robinson and receivers DJ Chark Jr. and Laviska Shenault Jr. Houston has gone through a complete rebuild this offseason with a new coach, new front office and a host of new players. The Texans are turning over their offense to QB Tyrod Taylor who lost his job to Herbert in Los Angeles a year ago. Taylor has some playmakers of his own on offense with Brandin Cooks (1,150 receiving yards, 81 catches) and a stable of running backs with Mark Ingram, Phillip Lindsay and Rex Burkhead. What we know for sure is that both defenses were atrocious last year and will struggle early on this season. The Texans were 30th overall in our defensive rankings while the Jags were 31st. Jacksonville gave up 27 or more points in eleven of their games a season ago. The Texans finished the season by allowing 25 or more points in 6 straight. Two bad defenses and a marginable Total make this an easy call with the OVER.

                NFL | Eagles vs Falcons
                Play on: OVER 48 -118

                FREE PICK - Eagles/Falcons OVER 48
                RATING: 30*
                ROT#: 463/464
I think we are getting a gift here from the books in Week 1, as I think this total should be one of the highest on the board. I think these are going to be two of the higher-scoring teams this year. Not only do both teams got some talent to work with offensively, but with the question they got on defense, the will probably be forced to try to outscore the other team to win.
That definitely figures to be the case for the Falcons. Atlanta's offense is all built on the passing attack behind Matt Ryan. They were 5th last year at 272.7 ypg. They did that with a banged up Julio Jones that only played in 9. While Julio is now in Tennessee, I think they could be even more dynamic offensively with the addition of rookie TE Kyle Pitts from Florida. I also think the addition of Mike Davis at RB is a big upgrade over what they had last year in Todd Gurley.
The Falcons had to throw it, cause they trailed a lot. Their defense gave up the 4th most yards per game at 398.4 ypg. I just don't think it's going to be a whole lot different on that side.
As for the Eagles, I think people aren't focusing enough on what the offense looked like after Jalen Hurts was name the starter. The only team that gained more yards in Week 14-16 , was the Bills, as the Eagles put up 437.3 ypg. Hurts is a big play good or bad waiting to happen. His ability to run (354 yards 3 scores..only started 4 games) is a real problem for defenses.
The Eagles strength defensively is their d-line, after that there's not a lot to like at linebacker or in the secondary. If the Falcons can just hold up a little bit against the pass rush, they will throw all over this defense.
The line here (Falcons -3 or -3.5) with the total of 48 is implying a final of something along the lines of the Eagles 22, Falcons 26. I think that's low for both teams. I definitely think at least 1 is getting to 30 and that means we only need 20 from the other to cash. Give me the OVER 48!

                  Play on: UNDER 48 -105

This is a free play on Under 48.
The Eagles offense ranked 28th in the NFL in passing last season, averaging just 207.9 yards per game. They come into 2021 hoping that Jalen Hurts can bring their offense back to life, but that sure seems like a long-shot. I can remember Hurts as the same quarterback that lost his job as the starter for Alabama. Last season he completed just 52% of his passes for 1,061 yards with six TDs and four INTs while appearing in 15 games. He isn't exactly surrounded by an all star receiving corps and the Eagles don't exactly have the most dynamic stable of running backs either. The Falcons will be the favorite when they host Philly in Week 1, but this team might not be as explosive as it once was. Matt Ryan is now 36 years old, and Atlanta was just 4-12 in 2020. These two teams have gone under in five straight head to head meetings, and they failed to score 40 combined points in three of the last four meetings. This number appears to be a little inflated.

The Atlanta Falcons cannot be trusted to lay points, especially not more than a field goal. This is a team that went 4-12 last season and lost Julio Jones in the offseason. They are bringing in an entirely new coaching staff and stunk up the preseason, going 0-3 while scoring just 10.0 PPG and giving up 26.3 PPG, getting outscored by 16.3 PPG. The offense has some nice pieces, but the defense is awful and didn't do much after allowing 25.9 PPG and 398.5 YPG to rank 29th in total defense. Jalen Hurts played very well in his three starts last season, leading the Eagles to an average of 437.3 YPG in those games. Getting that valuable experience at the end of last year will help him a ton coming into this year, and the Eagles aren't short on weapons for him. Philadelphia does have a strong front seven defensively and is the better team in this matchup on that side of the ball. I favor the Eagles on offense, so getting 3.5 points here is too much. Give me the Eagles.

                        Play on: OVER 48½ -110

Sunday NFL Free play. My selection is on the 'over' between Philadelphia and Atlanta at 1 pm et on Sunday.
Most are taking a 'wait-and-see' approach with this Eagles squad - their offense in particular. With that in mind, we're dealing with a very reasonable total in a game that I feel has true shootout potential on the fast track in Atlanta on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles offense is of course led by second-year QB Jalen Hurts, who showed plenty of positive signs in limited work last season. His mobility is obviously key, but so is the wealth of talent he has to work with at the skill positions, most notably underrated RB Miles Sanders who I expect to be a major factor both running and catching the football on Sunday. In rookie DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor and Quez Watkins, the Eagles have a very promising young receiving corps that could certainly blow the top off a bad Falcons secondary. It's on defense where I have my concerns regarding the Eagles. They're stout up front but extremely weak in the back - really nothing new for a team that has been trashed by capable passing games in recent years. The Falcons certainly fall into that category with WR Calvin Ridley poised to take a big step forward with future Hall-of-Famer Julio Jones having moved on to Tennessee. We didn't see much from the Falcons offense in the preseason but that was only because the starters didn't see any action. I have a lot of confidence in former Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith infusing some real creativity for QB Matt Ryan in the Falcons offense this season and it all starts with this favorable matchup in Week 1. Take the over.

Jack's Free Pick Sunday: New England Patriots -3
Bill Belichick did one of his best coaching jobs last season to get the New England Patriots to 7-9. They lost a handful of their best defensive players to opt outs before the season, and they had awful play at quarterback all year. But now they get most of those players back on defense, and Mac Jones can only be an upgrade at quarterback.
Jones led the record-setting offense at Alabama to guide them to a National Championship last year. He then slipped in the draft, and the Patriots were happy to scoop him up. No rookie QB was more impressive than Jones in the preseason among the Top 15 picks. He played eight drives in the preseason and the Patriots scored on all eight of them with five touchdowns and three field goals. He earned this job with his performance. He has two new shiny weapons in TE's Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry as the Patriots get back to their two TE sets from years' past.
The Miami Dolphins are overvalued to start the season after a surprising 10-6 campaign last year. They made me a lot of money as I backed them nearly every week down the stretch with a ton of success. I was upset when they switched from Ryan Fitzpatrick to rookie Tua Tagovailoa, who was much less effective when he took over. The Dolphins continued to win their games with defense in spite of Tagovailoa's shortcomings.
I'm just not a big fan of this guy. And I think the Dolphins come into the 2020 season overrated. Their win total is 9.5, and the UNDER on that is one of my favorite win totals this season. Tagovailoa has to prove it to me, and this is a tough spot for him. Rookie QB's last season didn't have to deal with crowd noise. Now Tua will get his first experience with real crowd noise here at New England in Week 1. Tua is also learning a new playbook this season.
The home team is 16-5 ATS in the last 21 meetings. The Patriots are 8-1 ATS in their last nine home meetings with the Dolphins. The Patriots will shut down Tua and the Dolphins' offense, and Jones and company will make enough plays to get the win and cover against a Miami defense that is due for some regression after leading the league in takeaways (29) last season. Bet the Patriots Sunday.
