      FOR REGISTERED NEW MEXICO BRED THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD WHICH HAVE NEVER WON TWO RACES. THREE YEAR OLDS, 121 LBS.; OLDER, 123 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $5,000.

      RECOMMENDED CHOICES
      # 1 SILVER PONZI 8/5
      # 2 CHROMATIC JAZZ 15/1
      # 9 VALUE N FAITH 6/1
      SILVER PONZI is the top bet in this race. He has recorded competitive figs under today's conditions and should fare well versus this group. Is a solid choice - given the 59 Equibase Speed Fig from his most recent race. He has strong class ratings, averaging 65, and has to be given a chance in this event. CHROMATIC JAZZ - Will almost certainly come out strong - I have liked the way this gelding has moved speedily to the front end recently. Has been racing solidly in races of this distance, going 1 out of 6 under similar conditions. VALUE N FAITH - He has posted decent figures under today's conditions and ought to fare well against this group of horses.

        # 8 MIDNIGHT VIGILANCE 5/2
        # 5 AMORE FIRE 7/2
        # 2 QUEENS DANCER 10/1
        MIDNIGHT VIGILANCE looks very good to best this field. Has very strong front speed and will probably fare strongly versus this group. She has been running quite well and the speed figures are among the best in this group. Posted a decent speed figure last time out. AMORE FIRE - Is a definite contender - given the 66 speed rating from her most recent race. Has been racing in the most competitive company of the group lately. QUEENS DANCER - This trainer has the top return on investment in this field with entries racing at this distance and surface. Davis has recent return on investment figs which make this entrant a very good bet.

          Presque Isle Downs - Race #2 - Post: 5:10pm - Maiden Claiming - 8.3 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $12,000 Class Rating: 61

          Rating:

          #8 WHOOPS (ML=7/2)

          WHOOPS - This horse's last race was at Presque Isle Downs in a race with a class number of 70. Dropping considerably in class rating this time around puts him in a solid position in this event. Don't often see a profitable return on investment like +176. This jock/handler duet has done well together over the last twelve months. Ran a nice speed rating of 63 on August 30th. Followed it up with another speed fig of 64. Either effort is good enough to beat this field. Just see his recent speed fig, 64. That one fits well in this group.

          Vulnerable Contenders: #2 TOE THE LINE (ML=5/2), #5 BOARDWALK BOB (ML=7/2), #3 PULL RANK (ML=5/1),

          TOE THE LINE - This sustainer looks to have no chance without a speed duel on the front end. This gelding recorded a speed figure in his last race which probably isn't good enough today. BOARDWALK BOB - 7/2 is too low of a price to take on most any horse that has run poorly in back to back outings. If you keep betting these kind of 'bridesmaid' types, you're going to be frustrated most of the time. This runner hasn't won at this track. PULL RANK - Unlikely that this animal will finish better than he did last time out of the box when ending up eighth.

          STRAIGHT WAGERS: #8 WHOOPS is the play if we get odds of 1/1 or better
          EXACTA WAGERS: 8 with 2

          TRIFECTA WAGERS:

            Parx Racing - Race #4 - Post: 2:16pm - Maiden Claiming - 7.5 furlongs on the Turf. Purse: $26,000 Class Rating: 63

            Rating:

            #10 LET'S CELEBRATE (ML=5/1)
            #7 PEGASUS IN FLIGHT (ML=2/1)
            #8 BOHEMIA BABE (ML=7/2)

            LET'S CELEBRATE - Based on this filly's recent efforts, she should profit from this shorter trip. If you review the PP's for this horse, you'll see she has recorded the top speed rating at the distance and surface. A repeat performance in today's race and this horse has a superb chance to win. I like this horse. Finished in front of today's chalk horse last out at Parx Racing, and I think she will do well versus this field today. Perez brings her right back. I advocate you stick with this strong filly. PEGASUS IN FLIGHT - Horses out of the barn of Demasi have been strong on the turf. Should do well. Aboard this animal on Sep 14th and Gonzalez is right back in the irons this time. This filly is most likely the strongest closer in the bunch. This horse brings in a lot of money per race. I believe she can augment the lifetime earnings right here. Based on her last TrackMaster turf rating alone, I'm going to play this mount. BOHEMIA BABE - Based on this filly's recent efforts, she should profit from this race's shorter distance. Pennington is up for another race today after sitting atop this animal for the first try on Sep 14th and ought to know the ropes to this one a little better. Have to make this filly a solid contender; she comes off a nice contest on September 14th. This horse is not the morning line choice, yet she finished ahead of today's chalk in their last race together.

            Vulnerable Contenders: #3 BLUEBERRY PIE (ML=6/1),

            BLUEBERRY PIE - 6/1 is not priced right for any thoroughbred in a sprint of 7 1/2 furlongs that hasn't finished in the money in a short distance race recently.

            GUEST COMMENTARY: Hal - LET'S CELEBRATE - Posting three superb speed figs in the last three races. This thoroughbred is primed to beat these thoroughbreds today.

            STRAIGHT WAGERS: #10 LET'S CELEBRATE is the play if we get odds of 7/2 or better
            EXACTA WAGERS: Box [7,10]

              Jeremy Plonk: Hastings $560K Pick 5 Carryover Ticket: Sept. 27

              September 27, 2021 | By Jeremy Plonk
              Hastings Park in Vancouver has a mandatory payout on its massive $560,737 carryover pick five wager this evening. While it may not be a track you bet often, that kind of player advantage with the carryover money going into all payoffs tonight make it a worthwhile pursuit.

              //

              Hastings Park // Race 4 // 8:09 pm ET // claiming // 1-1/16 miles

              Jeremy’s Notes: Three-turn route on the bullring in which many of these have been facing one another in recent starts. Ex-stakes runner Pitch Count has lost 13 straight (3 in a row at this level since dropping, all at 3-1 or less), but probably will be solidly backed again. Second morning line choice Ace Deuce has lost 12 in a row, including 8 straight for this condition in single-digit odds. If either beats you, so be it. My play is to spread and avoid those underlays.

              Jeremy’s Horses to Include: 9,8,2,3,5

              1/ST BET Artificial Intelligence Win Projections: 1 (29%), 7 (11%), 8 (11%), 5 (9%)

              //

              Hastings Park // Race 5 // 8:37 pm ET // maiden claiming // 6-1/2 furlongs

              Jeremy’s Notes: Six-horse maiden claimer is where many will try to narrow the ticket based on field size. Jack Don’t Drink (3-1), Keepingthedream (2-1) and Commander B (5-1) are a combined 0-50 lifetime. Avoiding that trio at short prices, and the first-time starter Bellaroo for low-percentage connections, leaves only a pair. Let’s try to get by with those.

              Jeremy’s Horses to Include: 6,4

              1/ST BET Artificial Intelligence Win Projections: 1 (32%), 3 (27%), 6 (14%), 4 (10%)

              //

              Hastings Park // Race 6 // 9:05 pm ET // claiming // 1-1/16 miles

              Jeremy’s Notes: Not Yet and Aditya ran 1-2 in late August and have 21 victories between them in this open-conditioned claiming route. Consistent at any distance, Quagmire is 15 for 25 in the exacta lifetime. This looks to be a very solid trio in a field of 8 pre-scratches.

              Jeremy’s Horses to Include: 6,4,5

              1/ST BET Artificial Intelligence Win Projections: 6 (24%), 5 (18%), 4 (15%), 2 (12%)

              //

              Hastings Park // Race 7 // 9:33 pm ET // claiming // 6-1/2 furlongs

              Jeremy’s Notes: Sanawar fits the conditions of this race beautifully with a win Aug. 17 and a solid third since. He’ll be the late threat in a race where top contenders Bluegrass Angus and The All Button will be battling up front. Strong connections at meet team with Sanawar and the pace scenario looks ideal. At 9-2 morning line, would be a gutsy single to knock off the favorites.

              Jeremy’s Horses to Include: 1 if singling; potentially add 6,2

              1/ST BET Artificial Intelligence Win Projections: 2 (27%), 3 (19%), 6 (16%), 7 (11%), 1 (10%)

              //

              Hastings Park // Race 8 // 10:01 pm ET // claiming // 1-1/16 miles

              Jeremy’s Notes: This non-winners of 2 lifetime claimer is overrun by horses who broke their maidens for the basement $4,000 level. Pineapple Tidbits won for the $25,000 maiden claiming price, while Walkinthepark scored for the $16,000 level. Those victories stand out and both are dropping significantly in claiming price tonight. Trust the class over the 3-turn trip.

              Jeremy’s Horses to Include: 2,6

              1/ST BET Artificial Intelligence Win Projections: 6, (23%), 2 (18%), 8 (14%), 5 (11%)

              //

              Jeremy’s Suggested Tickets

              Smaller Budget: 9,8,2,3,5 with 6,4 with 6,4,5 with 1 with 2,6 = $12 for $.20 ticket

              Bigger Budget: 9,8,2,3,5 with 6,4 with 6,4,5 with 1,6,2 with 2,6 = $36 for $.20 ticket

                NFL | Eagles vs Cowboys
                Play on: Cowboys -3 -118 at pinnacle

                Monday NFL Free play. My selection is on Dallas minus the points over Philadelphia at 8:15 pm et on Monday.
                There are going to be opportunities to fade the Cowboys this season. I just think it's too early at this point and now that this line has dropped down to -3, I'm willing to back the 'Boys in their home opener at Jerry World on Monday night. There's been nothing but positive vibes for Dallas so far this season, despite its mediocre 1-1 start. The season-opening loss in Tampa could have gone either way as QB Dak Prescott returned and proved he's healthy and ready to pick up where he left off prior to last year's devastating season-ending injury. Last Sunday Dallas traveled to the west coast and gutted out a field goal victory over what might just be an elite Chargers team (that defeated the Chiefs on the road yesterday). I'm not certain the Eagles know what they have with QB Jalen Hurts leading the offense and first-year head coach Nick Sirianni. They've certainly been inconsistent through their first two games, dominating the Falcons on the road in Week 1 before falling in a low-scoring affair against the 49ers last week. The loss of edge rusher Brandon Graham certainly hurts their chances of containing the Cowboys offense here. Meanwhile, they also lost left tackle Jordan Mailata, depleting their chances of keeping pace in a potential shootout. I simply like where the Cowboys are in their 2021 progression more than I like the Eagles as we get set to wrap up Week 3 on Monday night. Take Dallas.

                      MLB | A's vs Mariners
                      Play on: Mariners -112 at William Hill

                      It still surprises me how the Mariners remain undervalued by the oddsmaker.
                      This is a very reasonable price to get involved with the Mariners, who are 42-33 at home and 8-2 in their last 10 overall games. The A's are going with Cole Irvin, a bottom-of-the-rotation type starter who has given up 22 runs in 24 innings during his last five road starts. Irvin is 0-4 lifetime against the Mariners with a 7.56 ERA and 2.16 WHIP spanning 16 2/3 innings. Seattle starter Chris Flexen loves to pitch at T-Mobile Park. He's 6-5 with a 3.09 ERA and 1.14 ratio there this season. Career-wise, Flexen has a 3.24 ERA and 1.12 ratio against Oakland in 25 innings. Flexen is backed by a very underrated bullpen. The A's have scored 3 runs or fewer in six of their last nine games.

                        The A's (+103) are worth a look as a slim road dog against the Mariners in Monday's MLB action. Both of these teams are playing well coming in, but I just like the A's in this spot. These two teams just played a 4-game series at Oakland last week and Seattle swept that series. The A's have also lost 9 in a row in the series. That might seem like a reason to back the Mariners, but winning streaks are meant to come to an end. Play the A's +103!

                          Play on: Mariners -111 at SC Consensus

                          FREE PICK - Seattle Marines -111

                          I'll take my chances here with the Mariners as a small home favorite against an A's team they have owned of late. Seattle has won 12 of the 16 games between these two this season and are riding a 9-game win streak against Oakland.
                          Hard to not like them in this one with Chris Flexen on the mound. Flexen has been rock solid all season. He's got a 3.56 ERA and 1.240 WHIP in 29 starts, 3.09 ERA and 1.145 WHIP in 15 home starts and has a 3.24 ERA and 1.120 WHIP in 4 career starts vs the A's.
                          Oakland will send out Cole Irvin. While Irvin's 3.99 ERA and 1.311 isn't horrible, the big thing here for me is those numbers to slip some on the road and he's 0-4 with a 7.56 ERA and 2.160 WHIP in 4 starts vs Seattle. Give me the Mariners -111!
