Event: (687) Toronto Argonauts at (688) Hamilton Tigercats
Sport/League: CFL
Date/Time: October 11, 2021 4PM EDT
Play: Toronto Argonauts +5.5 (-110)
Toronto Argonauts +5.5 (-110)
The CFL schedule makers aren't making life easy on the Argonauts with this spot, they played last Wednesday in a mid-week game, giving them only four days off against the Ti-Cats — who are fresh off eight days of rest. 99% of the time, I would try and make a case for the well-rested team, not in this case. This is a big rivalry game between two teams that are only a 45-minute drive away from each other – Hamilton has a history of dominating the Argos, but things will be different this evening. Hamilton has disappointed in many ways this season, in large part due to their injuries; the Ti-Cats offence has looked horrific; they rank dead-last in the CFL with 261.4 yards per game and 3.8 yards per play. Hamilton had the league's top-rated offence in 2018 and 2019 but, despite keeping most of their team intact, they have struggled this year, and although injuries have certainly been a factor, it's time for us to take Hamilton off the pedestal. The Argos have been impressive this season offensively, putting up points in bunches in several of their most recent games. I expect their offence to have a great day but, more importantly, for their pass-rushing to be the difference-maker on defence.
TAKE THE ARGOS PLUS THE POINTS.
