Event: (687) Toronto Argonauts at (688) Hamilton Tigercats
    Sport/League: CFL

    Date/Time: October 11, 2021 4PM EDT
    Play: Toronto Argonauts +5.5 (-110)
    Toronto Argonauts +5.5 (-110)

The CFL schedule makers aren't making life easy on the Argonauts with this spot, they played last Wednesday in a mid-week game, giving them only four days off against the Ti-Cats — who are fresh off eight days of rest. 99% of the time, I would try and make a case for the well-rested team, not in this case. This is a big rivalry game between two teams that are only a 45-minute drive away from each other – Hamilton has a history of dominating the Argos, but things will be different this evening. Hamilton has disappointed in many ways this season, in large part due to their injuries; the Ti-Cats offence has looked horrific; they rank dead-last in the CFL with 261.4 yards per game and 3.8 yards per play. Hamilton had the league's top-rated offence in 2018 and 2019 but, despite keeping most of their team intact, they have struggled this year, and although injuries have certainly been a factor, it's time for us to take Hamilton off the pedestal. The Argos have been impressive this season offensively, putting up points in bunches in several of their most recent games. I expect their offence to have a great day but, more importantly, for their pass-rushing to be the difference-maker on defence.

TAKE THE ARGOS PLUS THE POINTS.

Event: (479) Indianapolis Colts at (480) Baltimore Ravens
      Sport/League: NFL

      Date/Time: October 11, 2021 8PM EDT
      Play: 1Q Total Under 9.5 (-115)
Both teams struggle to score early. The Colts have only scored in one game this season and that was week 1. So they’ve gone three games in a row with no first quarter points. The Ravens haven’t scored in two games in a row in the first quarter and with Baltimore’s elite rush defense the Colts should struggle early to move the ball. Two scores are tough to see in this first quarter.

Event: (208153) Atletico Tucuman at (208154) Talleres Cordoba
        Sport/League: SOC

        Date/Time: October 11, 2021 8PM EDT
        Play: Talleres Cordoba -1.0 (+105)
Talleres opened October with a 3-0 loss to Defensa y Justicia, snapping an eight-match run that produced eight victories and two draws. They've fallen behind River Plate but should be able to bounce back and cut that deficit here at home against Atletico Tucuman. Tucuman has a number of veterans that are past their prime and haven't won since Aug. 30, dropping three matches and ending up with a pair of scoreless draws. Talleres has considerably more depth with Colombia's Diego Valoyes, Uruguay's Michael Santos and Diego Garcia and Argentina's Mateo Retegui, Carlos Auzqui and Rodrigo Villagra can all create opportunities. Ride Talleres to cover the one-goal spread in Cordoba for plus money.

Event: (957) San Francisco Giants at (958) Los Angeles Dodgers
          Sport/League: MLB

          Date/Time: October 11, 2021 9PM EDT
Play: Los Angeles Dodgers -196 A Wood (LHP), M Scherzer (RHP) Must Start
957 San Francisco Giants at 958 Los Angeles Dodgers -200, 7.5u
The west coast NLDS series finds the Los Angeles Dodgers hosting the San Francisco Giants in Game 3 of the best five. With the series tied at 1-1, the visitors send southpaw Alex Wood to the hill in the first inning while former Cy Young winner Max Scherzer is scheduled to start for LA.

Future Hall of Famer and three-time MVP Albert Pujols will start at first base for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Los Angeles skipper Dave Roberts told the local media in his Sunday presser that he will employ a heavy right-handed lineup against the left-handed Wood.

Wood has not fared well against the Dodgers this season with an ERA of 4.76 and .290 OBA in three starts. The 30-year-old has allowed 20 hits and five earned runs in 17.0 IP. Scherzer didn't have his best command in the wild card win over the St. Louis Cardinals, but of any pitcher I could ask to win a mission-critical Game 3 in a five-game series, it would be Mad Max. Free Pick is a play on Scherzer and the Dodgers.
