Patrick Reed is easily the best player in this field when he's playing to his potential as he is the highest ranked player teeing it up this week. The problem is that he just has not been playing anywhere near the level that we are accustomed to seeing from Reed.
Ever since his double pneumonia scare at the end of August, he has really struggled to get going. He was forced to miss the first two Fedex Cup playoff events because he was just too weak and still made it to the Tour Championship thanks to another very good season, but he finished T25 out of 30 players. He then proceeded to MC at Shriners in his first start this season before finishing T68 in a field of just 77 at the CJ Cup two weeks ago. He hasn't shown any signs that he is coming around.
Meanwhile Christiaan Bezuidenhout has been playing very well and very consistently with his last missed cut coming back in January of 2020. That's now 23 straight events he has played on Sunday. In his last five starts, he has four Top 20 finishes including back to back Top 5's at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship and at a Euro Tour event, the BMW PGA Championship. This week should play more like a Euro Tour event with windy conditions expected and a rather weak field and I expect him to be in contention on Sunday.

UMBRIA - This gelding is in nice physical condition. Ended up third on October 21st. Good return on investment for this jockey and conditioner tandem. Trying to break maiden moving from a grass race to the dirt. I think Rice will have him fit and ready for today's race. That 81 fig this gelding garnered in his last race tells me he's a key player this time. BREW PUB - Quite frequently, I play a maiden that finished runner up easily ahead of the show horse in his last effort. GOT THE GOLD - Has happened upon a good situation this time. LUCKY BRODY - I expect this race horse to shock some fans in today's event.
