My selection is on the 'over' between Indiana and Brooklyn at 7:40 pm et on Friday.
I'm not going to give up on Pacers 'overs' just yet. We did get a push with the 'over' in Indiana's most recent game in Toronto (most actually won as the line moved in our favor after I released the play) and here I believe we're well-positioned to pick up a comfortable win. Note that the 'over' has gone 9-1 with the Pacers coming off a loss by 15+ points over the last season-plus. That situation has produced an average total of 243.2 points. The 'over' is 22-9 with the Pacers playing on the road with a total set at 220 or higher over the last two seasons, as is the case here, resulting in an average total of 237.3 points scored. Brooklyn is in desperate need of a spark right now, having been held to 95 points or less in two of its last three games, shooting worse than 44% in all three of those games. The Nets should be aided by facing a Pacers squad that doesn't play much defense, shredded for 237 points on better than 47% shooting by their last two opponents. After getting bogged down by the Raptors last time out, I think the Pacers will be afforded a little more room to run in this one. Note that the last two meetings between these two teams totaled 239 and 243 points. The last time they matched up we saw a closing total of 241.5 points. The fact that the Nets have posted five straight 'under' results, not to mention Kyrie Irving and Malcolm Brogdon among those slated to miss Friday's clash, has this total set too low in my opinion. Take the over.

The Ducks are in the butt end of back to back games and have a travel day to boot. Stolarz likely starts tonight, and he has been a step down from Gibson. The Ducks can score goals; they just struggle to keep the puck out of the net. Vegas is trending upwards, winning their last two games, and is rested. Is this the day the offense breaks out? It is the right situation. A goal on the power play would help. Take the total to go over today..

My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play I cut in MLB for Friday was with Atlanta with the money-line versus Houston listing Ian Anderson and Luis Garcia. Atlanta (96-77) returns home to Truist Park even at 1-1 in the World Series after their 7-2 loss to the Astros on Wednesday. The Braves have won 35 of their last 51 games after a loss. Atlanta has also won 10 of their last 11 games at home. Houston (103-71) goes back on the road where they have lost 8 of their last 9 road games with the Total set in the 7-8.5 range. The Astros have also lost 10 of their last 14 games as an underdog. Take Atlanta with the money-line listing Anderson and Garcia. Best of luck — Frank.

I'm expecting Nikola Jokic to play and for the Nuggets to be near the top of their game. They've had three days to stew about a 122-110 road loss to the Jazz this past Tuesday. Denver is in stop-the-pain mode having lost to the Cavaliers in their previous game.
The Mavericks went all out to beat the Spurs last night after falling by 23 points early in the game. The Mavericks have a short rotation made shorter with Kristaps Portzingis ruled out again today due to a sore back.
Dallas is 1-5 ATS the last six times as an underdog.
It's amazing to me how Jason Kidd keeps emerging as a head coach. Now he's with the Mavericks. That's to Dallas' disadvantage.

This a play on the LOS ANGELES LAKERS for our Friday Free Play. LeBron or no LeBron, this is a big game for the Lakers after blowing a 26-point lead against Oklahoma City and that was the first time in 230 games that Los Angeles had at least a 25-point lead and lost. The Lakers are now 2-3 on the season and while it is still early, these games can go a long way, especially the ones they are supposed to win against the bottom teams in the league. The two wins have come by a combined seven points so laying a large number might not seem wise, but the spot calls for it. Cleveland has won three straight games and all against three likely playoff teams when it is all said and done. The Cavaliers have been getting it done with defense as they have allowed 103.2 ppg which is seventh lowest in the NBA but the offense has a ways to go as they are ranked No. 21 in scoring with a lot of that due to shooting just 28.2 percent from long range which is second the last in the league. The Cavaliers are 8-22 ATS in their last 30 games as a road underdog.
