NHL | Wild vs Stars
Play on: Wild -104 at pinnacle
My first look is to take the superior team in a pick'em type line. This view is enhanced on the second glance, too, so I'll be on the Wild here.
Minnesota is tied for the most points in the Western Conference. Record-wise the Wild are 19-8 compared to the Stars' 14-12.
The situation sets up for Minnesota, which has defeated Dallas four consecutive times. The last one being by five goals at home on Nov. 18.
The Wild are off a 3-2 shootout home loss to the Sabres this past Thursday. That was a frustrating defeat for Minnesota. The Wild was supposed to play two days ago, but their game against the Panthers was postponed. This allowed the Wild to get in full practice sessions Friday and Sunday. Reports are that those practices went well.
The Stars defeated the Blackhawks, 4-3, in overtime this past Saturday. That game became very emotional for Dallas when forward Tanner Kero was knocked unconscious following a blindside hit by the Blackhawks' Brett Connolly, who drew a four-game suspension for that hit. Kero had to leave the game on a stretcher.
Dallas had lost five in a row prior to beating the Blackhawks. The Stars were outscored by 12 goals in those five defeats.
