There are four meetings in the UK on Monday, with Lingfield, Musselburgh and Southwell providing some low grade but
competitive jumps action up and down the country. All-weather followers have a twilight card on the tapeta at Wolverhampton to study, with a seven race card starting under the lights at 4.00pm.

Sandy Thomson’s novice has shaped well twice over hurdles at Kelso and Ayr, and has been found a terrific opportunity to get off the mark at Musselburgh on Monday. This sharp right handed track on decent ground should suit ideally, and there will be plenty of improvement in the tank as his jumping sickens up with racing experience.

Race 1. (13:30) Ladbroke It BM64 (1600m)
#6 – Seonee @ $2.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Patrick Payne lines up the talented three-year-old filly, who scored impressively at Kyneton two back.
The daughter of Winning Rupert followed it up with a second placing at Sandown, so having experience at the track is ideal.
Having Craig Williams in the saddle helps and we’re happy with the odds.
Race 3. (14:25) Ladbrokes Easy Form Maiden (1300m)
#6 – Matao Ma @ $2.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Matao Ma comes off consecutive second placings and it won’t take the three-year-old long to break through.
The son of Brazen Beau ended last season with a placing at Bendigo before kicking by finishing a nose behind Treporti at Moonee Valley.
Getting the inside draw is ideal and he should be the hardest to beat.
Race 5. (15:35) Ladbrokes Same Race Multi BM64 (2400m)
#9 – Miss Five Hundred @ $3.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Looking to cap off an improved run is Miss Five Hundred, who was much better when running third at Sandown last start.
It came behind Tigertiger, who has since won the Bagot Handicap at Flemington on Saturday, so it’s an excellent form guide.
Her form at Sandown reads well and we wouldn’t leave her out of selections.
Race 7. (16:45) Tobin Bros Lives BM64 (1400m)
#4 – So Risque @ $4.40 – Bet @ Sportsbet
We’re loving the odds for So Risque, who scored an impressive win at Bendigo last time out.
The Hayes-trained four-year-old hit the line with good power and that is always a good sign of things to come.
The Kiwi-bred son of So You Think will likely drop back from the draw, but with 2kg coming off his back, he should be hitting the line well again.

Race 1. (13:23) Nan and Pop Williams Maiden (1010m)
#5 – Penthouse @ $2.60 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Penthouse did well to finish third on debut at Eagle Farm and that form rates highly in a much easier race.
The two-year-old filly was only 2.1 lengths behind Exo Lady and that is city-class form, so she should be tough to beat.
There is solid betting support coming, which is another good sign.
Race 4. (15:08) Moruya Golf Club C1 (1425m)
#4 – Brazen Impact @ $5.50 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Brazen Impact only narrowly got the job done at Wagga last start but it was a good effort to win.
The three-year-old son of Real Impact scored by a nose after powering to the line late, which is a good asset to have.
Getting the inside draw helps and we’re confident of a big effort.
Race 5. (15:43) AMH Auto Group Moruya C3 (1200m)
#3 – Molly Nails @ $2.30 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Coming off a third placing at Rosehill is excellent form, so we expect Molly Nails to be right in the thick of the action.
The four-year-old mare was only 2.8 lengths behind Juan Diva in October, so she has had a nice freshen up for this race.
The betting support isn’t a surprise and we would back her at an odds-on quote.
Race 7. (16:53) Moruya Mitre 10 Moruya Cup (1425m)
#6 – Girls are Ready @ $4.80 – Bet @ Sportsbet
Girls are Ready capped off two placings with a win at Canberra last start. She won by three lengths in tough conditions, which holds her in good stead.
The daughter of Better than Ready is a five-time winner, so she has the experience edge on many of these.
It’s an open race, but she looks like the pick of the bunch.Comment

Al Cimaglia: Woodbine Mohawk Park Early Pick 4 Analysis

The feature at Woodbine Mohawk Park rolls in Race 6, a Preferred Trot with a $34,000 purse. The 0.20 Early Pick 4 starts in Race 4, and the sequence will be my focus.
Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.
Race 4
3-Cindy Lynn (8-1)-Won at this level on 12-20 and then jumped into very deep water. Drops to the right level, and Filion who steered in the last win returns.
7-On The Ropes (5/2)-Has been going up and down the condition ladder and now drops back to a more logical spot for success. Not loving the morning line price but gets a ++ driver change with JMac grabbing the lines.
8-Buck Dancer (4-1)-Raced well from post 8 versus this kind on an off-track to finish a close 3rd. The post makes the price and Jamieson returns for his 2nd tour of duty. This will be the 4th start off the bench and has won 6 of 10 at Wbsb.
Race 5
1-Kinkaid Seelster (7/2)-Has been racing well at this class while drawing outside in the last 3 starts. Just missed from post 9 and the only pause could be the 1-26 record at Mohawk. The Bothwell barn is batting 42% over the last 30 days, using and no need to overthink.
4-The Shining (3-1)-McNair is reunited with this 5-year-old and has won 2 of the last 3 times he has driven. The last picture came off a bumpy journey and tonight, could be put in play off the gate.
Race 6
5-Spartan General (3-1)-Winner in 4 of the last 5 steps-up to face Preferred company. This will be a test but would be no surprise if this son of Muscle Hill is up to the challenge. Two of the last 4 wins have come from post 5.
6-White Tiger (6-1)-This 6-year-old has posted a win over the one above back on 11-15. Should offer a solid price and is a threat if minds manners.
7-Pikachu Hanover (5/2)-Comes off a win at this level and McNair will take the lines tonight. May look to leave to get a good seat and might be best in the late going.
Race 7
1-Machdavid (7/2)-Leaving from the rail won't turn this closer into a horse who likes racing at the top of the stack. But this Cullen trainee can roll late and there should be some fast fractions to close into.
4-Play Jet Ray (3-1)-Beaten 2/5 chalk could make amends tonight. McNair takes the lines and will likely be gunning for the top. Might not win but won't get jammed up on the rail this time.
6-Arukidinme Cabbie (4-1)-The last 3 starts for the new barn have been better and Filion will be back between the pipes. Will look for another aggressive drive.

#5 Carmel Crush His only turf try was pretty solid, and he has turned in a couple good efforts since adding blinkers in recent races. He's probably tough from close range today.
#3 Cash Rocket He'll make his turf debut today while bringing pretty reliable main-track form, and the pedigree is there to suggest he can handle the new footing. Think the move back around two turns probably helps him, too.
#4 Jimmy Dan He's capable of something better than he showed last time out, and he should offer a decent number with some proven turf form in a tough bunch. Still, he has had nine chances and is meeting what feels like a very deep group for the level.
Race Summary Carmel Crush has a right to be a handful here while trying the turf with blinkers for the first time, and his previous grass try was pretty solid already. His baseline effort is probably good enough.
Fair Grounds - Race #8
Picks Notes
#3 Lovers Quarrel She ran okay off the long layoff last time out, and she has some room to move forward with that comeback race under her belt. Guessing she'll have a bit more late punch today.
#11 Frosteria She's plenty logical here after getting home first and getting DQ'ed in that last one, and something similar probably makes her tough. That said, she has landed seven runner up finishes from nine starts, so there's reason to think she can get beat here.
#1 Parker Eva Her Monmouth turf sprint try this fall was decent enough, and she'll be a decent price with these while trying to work out a trip from the fence. Think she may be useful underneath here.
Race Summary Lovers Quarrel had been away more than a year when she resurfaced with a solid comeback effort, and that gives her more upside today than the likely chalk Frosteria. That one has been DQ'ed from two career maiden wins, so she's plenty logical here.
Fair Grounds - Race #9
Picks Notes
#7 Bourbon Sky He ran okay when sent two turns at Delta last time out, and he might get a decent trip while tracking the splits with this group. He'll try this level for the first time, and he might still have a small step forward in him after just two starts.
#6 Joeboy He can be tough here while dropping out of MSW company, but he has already had some chances with this kind, and his form is better on the turf than it is on the main track.
#1 Customize My Quest He has proven a decent underneath type with similar, but he has not been a serious threat in any of his races. Guess he's a win contender with these, but think the top choice has a bit more upside at this point.
Race Summary Bourbon Sky can be tough here while trying this level and the local footing for the first time, and it doesn't feel like there is a ton of depth in this basement level race.Comment
