Penn National Race Course Selections for January 4, 2022 – Horse Racing Picks
There is more horse racing to be had on Tuesday at BetOnline. You can find Sunland Park, Parx, Penn National, and Turf Paradise on the race track this afternoon and evening.
Industry Leading 9% Cashback!
Parx is the first track to open the gate, while Turf Paradise and Sunland is scheduled for post time three hours later. Then in Pennsylvania a few hours later, Penn National gets going for the evening.
It’s nice to have the twilight option at Penn National on the card. However, if stakes racing is your game, then you will be disappointed this week. There’s one small stakes race at Delta Downs on Friday, but that’s all.
We have picks at Sunland Park and Penn National Race Course on Tuesday. Penn National has eight races worth $148,200 tonight. Head below for our free Penn National Race Course picks on January 4, 2021.

Race 3 is a mile on the dirt for a $10,800 purse. Attentively and Tuxedo Lemon should come on strong in the stretch run.
Attentively is 5 for 42 and has been in good as of late. She has finished 3rd, 3rd, 1st in her last three assignments and should have a strong chance on Tuesday.
In her most recent race, Attentively beat Izzadora Bella by a head in a $10,000 race on September 17. Prior to that attempt, she showed 3rd for a $15,400 purse.
Tuxedo Lemon is 5 for 26 and should be competitive on these terms. The mare has been in consistent form, finishing in the top-3 in seven straight races.
Tuxedo Lemon is coming off a 5 length win for a $12,600 purse on October 27. Before going into victory formation in that one, Tuxedo Lemon placed 2nd behind Kateri Empire by a half-length for $12,600.
Slightly down to $10,800, expect Tuxedo Lemon to have another big chance of going back to the winner’s circle.

Post Time: 7:22 p.m. EST
Distance:1 Mile 70 Yards
Purse:$11,800
The fourth race at Penn National covers a mile and 70 yards on the dirt. Sleepy N Joyful and Meemoo are going to have a nice chance of getting this one done.
Sleepy N Joyful is winless in nine assignments, but has been a consistent runner since September. She has finished 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 3rd, 2nd in her last five events.
Sleepy N Joyful placed 2nd My Girl Blue by ¾ lengths for $11,800 on December 1. She showed 3rd on November 16 for an $11,800 purse.
It was more of the same a race prior on October 26, as Sleepy N Joyful showed 3rd in an $11,800 assignment.
Meemoo should put something together from the No. 6 hole. The filly hasn’t won a race in her career, but might have a chance in this one.
She has finished 2nd, 2nd, 4th, 5th in her last four outings. After placing 2nd in a $15,400 race, Meemoo went 4th for $11,800 and then 5th most recently on December 1 in the same class.
Sleepy N Joyful beat Meemoo easily in that race by almost 5 lengths to place 2nd. I like her chances of getting it done again.

Post Time: 8:43 p.m. EST
Distance: 6 Furlongs
Purse:$11,800
Race 7 covers 6 furlongs on the dirt for an $11,800 purse. Becca’s Wish and Cuckoo Forcononuts have to be involved in the stretch.
Becca’s Wish is 3 for 14 and should have a chance opportunity at a win. The filly has finished 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 4th, 5th in her last five.
In her most recent assignment, Becca’s Wish finished 5th for a $16,400 prize. This was after going 4th on November 8 in a $12,600 race on November 8.
Cuckoo Forcononuts is 10 for 48 in her career and is looking for a hat-trick on Tuesday. She has finished 2nd, 1st, 1st in her last three attempts.
In the first win, Cuckoo Forcononuts beat Morgans Melody by 6 lengths in a $10,000 assignment. Cuckoo Forcononuts followed up in good form again, with a 4 ¾ length win over Life On The Edge.
This looks like a good spot for the mare to do it again with another win. Expect Cuckoo Forcononuts to edge out Becca’s Wish given her recent form.
