My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play I cut for Thursday was with the UL-Monroe Ragin’ Cajuns minus the points versus the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans. UL-Monroe (8-6) had been on a six-game winning streak but they have dropped two in a row after a 77-69 loss at Appalachian State as a 4-point underdog on Saturday. Now after playing their last three games on the road, the Ragin’ Cajuns return home where they have covered the point spread in 5 straight games. UL-Monroe has also covered the point spread in 5 of their last 6 games when favored. Little Rock (6-7) won their second game in their last three in a 78-66 upset win against Georgia Southern as a 3.5-point underdog last Thursday. But the Trojans have failed to cover the point spread in 12 of their last 14 games after a straight-up win. Little Rock is just 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 games on the road. As I've stated on multiple occasions recently, it's going to take a monumental effort to defeat the Avalanche considering how well they're playing right now. The Blackhawks almost accomplished that feat on Tuesday but ultimately fell in overtime. Now the Avs return home to host a Jets squad playing its third straight road game and one that we cashed with against the lowly Coyotes two nights ago. Here, we'll switch gears and fade the Jets as the Avs check in 11-3 at home this season, outscoring opponents by an average margin of 2.0 goals. Note that the Jets are a miserable 15-30 the last 45 times they've come off consecutive road wins. Worse still, they're 13-32 in their last 45 road games when coming off 3+ wins in a row, as is the case here, outscored by an average margin of 1.0 goal in that spot. Take Colorado.

The SMU Mustangs are rolling right now in winning eight straight while covering six in a row coming in. Wrong team favored here as they should not be underdogs to the Cincinnati Bearcats.

The Bearcats are 25-51-2 ATS in their last 78 games overall. Cincinnati is 16-37-2 ATS in its last 55 games as a favorite, including 5-16-2 ATS in its last 23 games as a home favorite.
