    NHL | Jets vs Avalanche
Play on: Avalanche -1½ -110 at Mirage

After a lopsided loss against the Bruins, the Avs are back to their winning ways. Now back at home where they are nearly unbeatable, they are heavy favorites against the Jets. Other than the game against the Bruins, the Avalanche have cut down on goals against, and Kuemper has been sharp in net.
Meanwhile, the Jets, now 0-2, continue a disappointing road trip in Colorado where they are historically 1-7. They are a poor road team this year, and have scored just 5 goals in their last three games. Their indifferent play has put them out of the play-off picture.
The Avs are 5-0 when returning from a prolonged road trip. Look for them to pull out all the stops tonight. Avalanche to win -1 ½.

        NBA | Pelicans vs Suns
Play on: Pelicans +6½ -110 at Caesars

Play - New Orleans Pelicans (Game 515).
Edges - Pelicans: 5-1-1 ATS in this series when Phoenix owns an .800 or greater win percentage … Suns: 8-32-2 ATS without rest as a favorite of more than five points … With the well-rested Pelicans looking to avenge 112-100 and 123-110 losses to the Suns this season, we recommend a 1* play on New Orleans. Thank you and good luck as always.

          NBA | Mavs vs Jazz
Play on: Jazz -5½ -110 at linepros

Rocketman Sports FREE NBA play Friday 2-25-22
Dallas @ Utah (9:10 PM EST)
          Play On: Utah -5 1/2
The Dallas Mavs travel to Utah to take on the Jazz on Friday night. Dallas is 35-24 SU overall this year while Utah comes in with a 36-22 SU overall record on the season. Utah is 6-1 SU and 5-1 ATS so far this year in February. Utah is 5-0 ATS last 5 games as a home favorite. Utah is 5-1 ATS last 6 games as a favorite. Utah is 5-1 ATS last 6 games when playing on 3 or more days rest. We'll recommend a small play on Utah tonight! Thanks and good luck, Rocky

            NBA | Pelicans vs Suns
            Play on: UNDER 230 -110

Friday NBA Free play. My selection is on the 'under' between New Orleans and Phoenix at 9:10 pm et on Friday.
I fully expected to see the Suns force the issue offensively in their first game out of the break last night, doing so with the intention of proving they can still operate at a high level offensively even without Chris Paul. Not surprisingly, they put up 120+ points in a blowout win. I'm not sure we'll see another track meet on Friday, however, yet this game is still being priced as such. Note that the 'under' is 16-4 with the Pelicans coming off consecutive losses this season, as is the case here, resulting in an average total of just 207.8 points. The Suns are coming off consecutive games in which they shot better than 50% from the field. The last five times that has happened, their next game has totalled 198, 195, 210, 175 and 199 points. Take the under.

                NBA | Clippers vs Lakers
Play on: Lakers -1 -110 at BetVegas

My free play is on the LA Lakers at 10:10 ET.

It's another 'Battle 4 LA' tonight between two first-half disappointments, the Clippers and the Lakers. Both return from the All-Star break tied in the loss column (31), as the Crypto.com Arena con-tenants (Can I still call it Staples Center?) begin a quest to escape the NBA's play-in tournament. I'm not sure how realistic that 'quest' is, as the 30-win Clippers are FIVE games behind the No. 6 Nuggets and the 27-win Lakers are 6 1/2-games behind.

The Clippers are stuck in limbo until Paul George and Kawhi Leonard return, while after standing pat at the deadline AND losing Anthony Davis (ankle) for at least a month, LBJ may have trouble even keeping the Lakers in the play-in tournament (Lakers are currently 4 1/2-games clear of that dreaded No. 11 seed.to the playoffs?

However, I'll back the Lakers here, as they are already 0-2 against the Clippers this season. The Clippers imported Norman Powell, Robert Covington, Rodney Hood and Semi Ojeleye in two trades,, but Powell (broken left foot) was injured in his third game and Ojeleye has yet to make his team debut Meanwhile, Covington and Hood have had only minimal impact in their new uniforms.

Much to the chagrin of LeBron James, the Lakers made no moves at the trade deadline but then won 106-101 at home over the Utah Jazz last Wednesday in the club's finale before the break. Anthony Davis was lost to a sprained right foot in the Utah game, but Russell Westbrook helped take up the slack with a 17-point, seven-rebound, six-assist performance. Westbrook's previous outing was a 19-point, seven-rebound, five-assist effort in a 117-115 road loss to the Golden State. Is it possible that Westbrook could 'find his game' down the stretch? We KNOW that LBJ always brings his game (29.1-7.9-6.5), even at 37-years-old. Take the Lakers.

                Good luck...Larry
