Saturday CBB Free play. My selection is on Baylor minus the points over Kansas at 8 pm et on Saturday.
There's no doubt Baylor has had this rematch circled on its calendar since getting blasted 83-59 at Allen Fieldhouse earlier this month. Since then, the Bears have gone 4-1 with the lone loss coming against a red hot Texas Tech squad. They gutted out a narrow two-point road win over Oklahoma State last time out, shooting just 36.8% from the field, likely with one eye looking ahead to this matchup with the Jayhawks. For Kansas' part, it rolled past in-state rival Kansas State 102-83 earlier this week, shooting a blistering 64% from the field in that game. Here, it takes on a Bears defense that has been outstanding at home this season, allowing just 22 made field goals per game including only six from beyond the arc. Baylor actually checks into this contest off three consecutive ATS losses but that only serves to keep this number in check. Note that the Bears were 10.5-point favorites the last time they hosted the Jayhawks last season. Without question there's a much narrower gap between the two squads this year with Kansas arguably closing it entirely, but I think this is a spot where we get Baylor's 'A' game and that's enough to gain an ounce of revenge in this matchup. Take Baylor.

Saturday's Free NBA Pick is on the Miami Heat as a 8.5-point home favorite against the San Antonio Spurs. While both teams are playing in the second leg of a back-to-back, Miami has quite the advantage here playing at home in this spot. On top of that, this is an awful spot for the Spurs after a crazy 157-153 2OT win at Washington last night. The only starter for San Antonio that didn't play 40+ minutes was Doug McDermott and even Lonnie Walker played 35 off the bench for the Spurs in that game. Unlike the Heat, who are a very deep team, San Antonio doesn't have the depth to perform in a spot like this. Miami should dominate this game from start to finish. Bet the Heat -8.5!

I'll take my chances with Oregon as a 3.5-point home favorite against USC in Saturday's late night action on the west coast. The Ducks snapped a two game skid with a 68-63 upset win at home over UCLA on Thursday and I like them to take down another ranked opponent at home tonight.
USC comes in at 24-4 and on a 5-game winning streak, but the spot really couldn't be much worse. The Trojans needed double-overtime to get past a pesky Oregon State team on the road 94-91 on Thursday. It's hard enough playing back-to-back road games in a 3-day stretch. Doing so after playing an extra 10 minutes of basketball in the previous game is a whole different animal.
I think even more so when there's not a whole lot at stake for USC, as they are 3-games back of Arizona in the Pac-12 standings. They also host the Wildcats this Tuesday, which I think to them is the much bigger game. Give me the Ducks -3.5!

The Ducks are flying, coming off a home win over UCLA. They catch the Trojans off an overtime win at Oregon State, which sets them up for a let down here in Eugene. The Trojans already lost at home to Oregon this season, but prior to that the home team had won seven straight in this series. The favorite is 10-3 ATS in the last 13 meetings. This is the final home game of the season for the Ducks, while the Trojans final home game is on deck against Arizona next week.

The Wild could be in a good position for a playoff berth this season, but have struggled lately. They’ve won just 1 of their last 5 games, and were out-scored by a 2-1 margin in that time. In a home and home match up with the Flames, it is critical that they right the ship now.
The Flames had their 10 game win streak broken in a 7-1 pounding by the lowly Canucks. They need to show that the loss was a one-off, and get back in the saddle in the Saddle Dome. The Wild hold the edge in offensive prowess, but Calgary has been no slouch in scoring, and is much better on defense.
The Wild are not nearly as effective on the road. The Flames have been very successful at home. Hard-line Flames coach will have the Flames extra-motivated after the Canucks debacle. Look for Markstrom and the Flames to bounce back tonight. Flames to win.
