This is a difficult situation for the Minnesota Timberwolves playing the second of a back-to-back and their fourth game in six days. We saw them come up short in a 102-133 home loss to the 76ers after beating the Grizzlies the night before. And now after beating the short-handed Cavaliers 127-122 on the road last night, I expect them to fall flat at home tonight against the Warriors. Golden State will be playing with a chip on its shoulder after losing 101-107 at home to the Mavericks after blowing a big lead late. The Warriors are rested playing just their second game in five days. Minnesota is 1-9 ATS off a win by 6 points or less this season. The Timberwolves are 0-5 ATS in their last five games playing the second of a back-to-back. Give me the Warriors.

After a disappointing start to the season, the St. Bonaventure Bonnies have played their way onto the bubble by going 7-0 SU & 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games overall. This veteran bunch that made the NCAA Tournament last year has saved its best basketball for last.
With games against two of the best teams in the Atlantic 10 remaining to close the regular season, the Bonnies can give their resume a boost. It starts tonight with a road trip to VCU and the Bonnies are catching 4.5 points when this line should be much closer to a PK. They also host Richmond on Friday.
St. Bonaventure crushed VCU 73-53 as 3-point home favorites in their first meeting this season, so this is a 7.5-point adjustment in favor of the Rams and it's unwarranted. The Bonnies are 3-1 SU & 4-0 ATS in their last four meetings with the Rams with three wins by 9 points or more and the lone loss coming by 3 points. Bet St. Bonaventure Tuesday.

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies and the VCU Rams meet Tuesday in A-10 action from the Siegel Center in Richmond, Va. St. Bonaventure is 19-7 overall this year and VCU 20-7, although in A-10 play, VCU is 13-3 (Davidson leads the league at 14-2), while St Bonny's is 11-4.

St Bonaventure is the defending Atlantic 10 regular season and tournament champions and was ranked No. 23 in the Associated Press preseason poll, the school's first ranking in the media poll since January 1971 (Can you say Bob Lanier?). The team has FIVE double digit scorers, giving them great balance. The group includes four guards and the 6-10 Osunniyi (11.2 & 7.6). The guards are Adaway (15.9 & 6.4), Holmes (13.7 & 5.4), Lofton (13.1 & 6.0 APG) and Welch (12.2 & 5.8). Osunniyi injured his ankle in the team's last game and is questionable for this one.

Mike Rhoades has some pretty good credentials in his first four seasons in Richmond, going 80-41 with two NCAA bids. Last season's NCAA bid ended before his team was able to play its first round game with Oregon, as the VCU team had a COVID outbreak. The Rams lost Hyland (9.5 & 4.7) to the NBA and this season, have at times, gone nine-deep. 6-6 senior forward Williams (12.8 & 5.6) is joined in double digits by guards Baldwin (11.1 & 5.6 APG) and Curry (10.6). Guard Nunn (8.2)and the 6-9 Ward (6.5 & 5.0) typical start. Four more players are combining for about 19 PPG. VCU also has a player listed as questionable in leading scorer Williams.

When these teams met back on Jan 14,at St Bonny's, VCU entered on a 7-0 SU (6-1 ATS) run but St Bonaventure came away with a 75-63 win. Tonight, it is the Bonnies entering the game on a 7-0 run (5-1-1 ATS). Expect VCU to 'return the favor' by snapping that winning streak, led by a defense allowing only 60.9 PPG (15th).

This is a play on the USC TROJANS for our Free Play for Tuesday. Arizona is coming off a 16-point loss at Colorado on Saturday and while this could be considered a good bounce back situation, not where it is heading tonight. The Wildcats are 8-3 on the road and while they can lock up the Pac 12 with a win, this is a tough matchup. They took care of USC at home where they are 15-0 as they shot 47.3 percent from the floor but do not expect a similar effort here. The Wildcats are 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a straight up loss. USC has won six straight games to improve to 14-4 in the conference and can stay within reach with a win here. The Trojans are 13-2 at home and they will rely on their defense that is ranked No. 6 in the country in shooting percentage at 38.1 percent and they are outshooting opponents by close to 10 percent at home. USC is 12-3 ATS in its last 15 games against teams outscoring their opponents by 12 or more ppg. Here, we play against road teams in a game involving two teams outscoring opponents by eight or more ppg, after allowing 75 points or more in three straight games.
