I'll gladly take my chances with the Spurs as a 4-point home dog against the Timberwolves. This is a good spot to fade Minnesota. The Timberwolves are coming off a big 113-104 road win at Miami on Saturday, which on it's own would put them in a letdown spot. They will also be playing their 3rd road game in 4 days and have two big home games on deck against the Lakers and Bucks this week.
Spurs are coming off a loss at home to the Pacers, but the game prior they upset a red-hot Jazz team 104-102 as a 5.5-point dog. The loss to Indiana wasn't pretty, but that works in our favor, as SA is 7-1 ATS last 8 off a double-digit home loss. Minnesota is also just 8-19 ATS last 2 seasons off an upset win as a dog. Give me the Spurs +4!

It's a great time to 'buy low' on the Chicago Bulls. They have gone just 2-5 SU & 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall with the five losses coming against five of the best teams in the NBA. They have since beaten the Pistons and Cavaliers and are getting healthier by the day.
The Bulls come in rested and ready to go tonight playing just their 2nd game in 5 days. They managed to beat the Cavaliers by 10 last time out despite playing without Zach LaVine. There's a chance he returns tonight as he is questionable, and they just got Alex Caruso back from injury as well.
The Sacramento Kings are just 2-8 SU in their last 10 games overall. Their trade at the deadline doesn't seem to be paying dividends at all as the Pacers got better while they got worse. Sacramento is 0-3 in its last three home games with losses to the Nuggets by 18, the Knicks by 16 and the Nuggets again by 6.
Chicago is 35-16-1 ATS in its last 52 games as a favorite, including 17-5 ATS as a favorite of 3.5 to 9.5 points this season. The Bulls are 41-21 ATS int heir last 62 games vs. a team with a losing record. This is another team they should handle tonight and I fully expect them to do just that. Bet the Bulls Monday.

Monday NBA Free play. My selection is on Golden State minus the points over Washington at 10:10 pm et on Monday.
The Wizards are suddenly reeling, losers of three games in a row including an ugly 127-118 defeat at the hands of the previously struggling Blazers on Saturday. Now they have to travel to San Francisco to face a Warriors squad that is brimming with confidence off Saturday's big win over the Bucks - their third win in a row both SU and ATS. The Wizards have gotten off 87 or fewer field goal attempts in seven straight games, making just 39 field goals in each of their last two games. On the flip side, their defense has collapsed, allowing 44, 43, 48 and 48 made field goals over their last four contests with no ability to control the tempo whatsoever. That spells trouble as they go up against the Warriors on Monday. Golden State has made good on 40+ field goals in seven straight games - fresh off a 45-of-93 shooting effort against the defending champion Bucks on Saturday. Golden State is locked-in defensively right now as well, limiting its last three opponents to 33, 35 and 38 made field goals, despite the fact that two of those three opponents got off 92+ FG attempts. After dropping both of last year's meetings, we'll get behind the revenge-minded Warriors here. Take Golden State.

Milwaukee's six-game winning streak was snapped when the Warriors beat the Bucks Thursday night in San Francisco. The Bucks haven't played since then but continue their four-game road trip tonight in Salt Lake City against the Jazz. The defending champs are 41-25, putting them in a virtual tie with the 42-26 Sixers, with both teams trailing Miami by 2 1/2-games for the East's best record. No one in the East has "taken control," as the Bulls are just a half-game behind Milwaukee and Philly, while the Celtics sit just 1 1/2-games back. The Utah Jazz lost 11 of 13 games between Jan 17-30, leaving them 30-21 as February opened. However, Utah has gone 12-4 since, including going a perfect 9-0 at home. The now 42-25 Jazz have lost touch with Phoenix (trail the Suns by 11 1/2-games) and are now trying to hold on to the No. 4 seed (last seed to get home court in the first round), as Dallas has won 13 of 16 and is just a half-game behind Utah.
Milwaukee gets some good news tonight, as center Brook Lopez will make his return to the lineup tonight. He's been out with a back injury since opening night. He's a terrific defender and his presence will enhance the team's chance to defend its NBA championship. Bobby Portis (15.5 & 9.2 has played in 59 of Milwaukee's 68 games (54 starts) and has averaged 15.5 & 9.2. How will Lopez's return change things? The rest of Milwaukee's starters are Antetokounmpo (29.7-11.5-5.9), Middleton (20.3-5.3-5.4), Holiday (18.2-4.6-6.7) and Allen (11.3).
PG Conley (13.2 & 5.2 APG) and center Gobert (15.4 & 14.7) both sat out Utah's 134-125 home win over the Kings on Saturday. Clarkson (15.9), the reigning Sixth Man of the Year, recorded a career-high 45 points in the win. Bogdanovic (18.1 & 4.7) scored 26 points for Utah, while leading scorer Mitchell (25.5-4.1-5.4) chipped in 25 points. Hassan Whiteside (8.5 & 7.9 in 18 minutes per game) filled in for Gobert with 12 points and a career-high 21 rebounds. Conley is expected to play tonight but Gobert remains questionable with a left foot strain.
Both teams are 'fighting' for the best seed possible but I'm more confident right now with the Bucks, who will also have extra motivation having lost the teams' first meeting this season, 107-95 on Halloween night.

There's no question that the Lakers have issues, but this one means so much more to the home side overall than it does to the Raptors. Toronto is off 3 straight road wins. I think a letdown is imminent here. The Lakers are off a terrible 140-111 loss at Phoenix, but with a tough 4-game road trip starting on Wednesday (which includes a stop in Toronto), I expect the home side to make the most of this one; so while I do think the outright upset is possible, my recommendation will be to grab the points. Consider LA on Monday.
