I'll take my chances with New Mexico State as a 6.5-point dog against Arkansas in the Round of 32. The Aggies were extremely impressive in Thursday's 70-63 upset over UConn. I not only think they can keep it within the number against the Razorbacks, but I give them a realistic shot here of winning this game outright.
Arkansas had their hands full in their first game, barely scraping by with a 75-71 win against Vermont. A difference in that game was the Razorbacks being able to get to the free throw line 25 times and making 20. Aggies only sent UConn to the line 13 times. If they can limit Arkansas on the line, Arkansas could really have a hard time scoring in this game. Razorbacks don't shoot the 3-ball well and New Mexico State can hold their own inside.
New Mexico State is 14-4 ATS this season when playing against a team that's won 60% to 80% of their games, 10-3 ATS vs a top tier defense that is holding teams to 42% or worse shooting and a perfect 10-0 ATS vs teams who are outscoring opponents by 8+ points/game. Give me the Aggies +6.5!
