It is, of course, important to both clubs. However, the Lightning are B2B Stanley Cup Champs so they may not be able to match the intensity and hunger I expect the Maple Leafs to bring for this one. I feel that is why we are looking at such a low price posted by the odds makers here as well. Tampa Bay is a small home ice favorite for a reason. Note that TB is off a home loss to Montreal in the shootout Saturday and this was the 7th loss for the Bolts in their last 13 games. The Maple Leafs are getting hot at the right time and have won 4 straight games and 7 of their last 9. Toronto's wins in their 4-game winning streak all by multiple goals and actually a margin of victory of 3 goals on average! Toronto is off 4 straight victories, but I say it finally stumbles here in this difficult road venue. Most recently it was a 6-3 win at Philadelphia. Tampa beat Toronto 5-3 on the road in early December, and with a tough upcoming game at Florida tomorrow night, I say the visiting sides gets caught looking ahead. Tampa's 4 game win streak came to an end last time out. It lost 5-4 to Montreal in a shootout. Note though that the Bolts are 7-3 in their last 10 after an OT or shootout home loss. As Bob Barker used to say: "The Price is Right!" Consider the Lightning on Monday!

My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play I cut for Monday is with the Calgary Flames with the money line versus the Los Angeles Kings. Calgary (40-19-9) is on a three-game losing streak after their 6-4 loss to St. Louis on Saturday. The Flames have won 5 of their last 6 games after allowing at least five goals in their last game. They have also won 5 of their last 6 games on the road when favored. Los Angeles (38-23-10) has won two in a row after their 3-2 win at Winnipeg on Saturday. But the Kings have lost 5 of their last 6 games after a victory in their last game. They have also lost 4 of their last 5 games at home as an underdog. Take Calgary with the money line.
