I like getting Josh Rogers and the Washington Nationals as underdogs to the Pittsburgh Pirates today. Rogers beat the Braves 11-2 as a +205 underdog in his first start this season while giving up only one earned runs in 5 1/3 innings. Rogers held the Pirates to two runs in 6 2/3 innings on September 10th in his only start against them last season. Bryse Wilson gave up three earned runs in four innings against the Cardinals in his first start this season. Wilson also gave up five earned runs and three home runs in 4 1/3 innings in a 2-6 loss to the Nationals on September 12th last season. Wrong team favored in this contest. Give me the Nationals.

New York despite of a talented offensive line up is just 11-for-61 with runners in scoring position (.180) this season after going 2-for-11 in its 2-1 loss in 11 innings on Friday to this same Baltimore team. I know the Orioles have also not shown alot of spark with their bats, but from a mathematical perspective the value rides with the home side. The Kings will be a heavy favorite at home versus Columbus, but this game should be a one sided contest. The Blue Jackets have won three of four, but all of those games came against teams that are already out of playoff contention.The Kings on the other hand are a desperate team on the bubble, sitting just one point ahead of the Vegas Golden Knights who are currently in ninth place in the West. The Blue Jackets are 2-8 in the last 10 meetings in Los Angeles, and they are 9-20 in the last 29 meetings overall. With little left to play for, don't expect much of an effort here from the visitors.
