8-Unit Play: Take #920 Boston Red Sox -120 over Houston Astros (7:10p.m., Monday, May 16) The public are coming in heavy on the Astros in this matchup and it's hard to understand why. Garrett Whitlock is an absolute stud with a 2.19 ERA and 2.37 xERA (which ranks in the top 10% of the league). He also ranks in the top percentiles when it comes to K%, xwOBA and xBA. He has almost all advantages in this matchup against Jake Odorizzi. Boston have struggled with a 13-21 record but the metrics clearly show that they are overdue a positive regression. They are 4-9 at home so far in 2022 but are much better than that record indicates when we look at predictive score metrics. The Astros have won nine of their last ten games while scoring 7.2 runs per game over their last 5 games. That kind of offensive production should be expected to slow down and we project that will happen tonight as they head in to Boston against Whitlock and a team extra motivated in desperate need of more wins as the season progresses. We made this true line much higher and show a ton of value. The sharp off-screen PPH accounts we monitor have been loading up on the Red Sox in each and every way, including betting the team total over. This will be our first 8-unit Game of the Year selection. Let's Go Sox!!
